For anyone training to be an Electrician, or just interested. I've put together some videos that I hope you find useful.
What is the voltage at the fault?
What will be the voltage at the fault, and what will be the fault current.
In this video I look at touch voltage, voltage factors, and the calculations to work out what magnitude of touch voltage and fault current for installation with and without Main protective bonding
I also talk about hoe effective main protective bonding is is limiting touch voltage. Does it have a minimal effect?
I'm not a professional trainer, so this is just my understanding, and comments and thoughts are appreciated.

LED Tubes, possible electric shock risk from the pins?

Some LED tubes are constructed in such a way that you could get an electric shock, when inserting the tube. This is why you should always switch of power to the fitting when changing tubes.
How to swap out fluorescent tubes for LED tubes

Retro fitting LED tubes into older fluorescent fittings. How they work with magnetic and electronic ballasts. And what happens if installed incorrectly. One thing i forgot to mention in the video is the capacitor in the magnetic ballasts. Capacitors can maintain a charge even when no power is applied to the fitting. So care needs to be taken if removing. The capacitor should be discharged safely.

This has saved my bacon - perhaps a useful tip: I had difficulty getting a good continuity reading on my wire, possibly because the copper was a bit oxidised (?). In any case, take your time when measuring continuity!
Excellent video, thank you. It's clear you've spent a lot of time preparing such detailed graphics. I was wondering if you might mention something about checking for diverted neutral current on TN-C-S supplies before disconnecting the main earth from the MET, but perhaps you'll deal with that in a separate video. [Edit - and of course, you already have! CZcams just suggested that video to me]

Excellent video. Parallel paths in EICRs is not well understood. A couple of really good shorts by "Mainly Electrical" have highlighted this.

Thanks very much freezefoot. Re the artificial neutral, its something I need work on🙂 The earth marshalling bar, is something thats not mentioned much. Its used in guidance note 8 earthing and bonding. Actually they call it a earth marshalling terminal

So if there is a fault on my central heating system the RCD will trip before electric can travel through my radiators and the MCB will trip once the fault has travelled back through the earth connected to the bottom of my radiator and back to the fuse box. I've just changed my radiator in the bathroom and out of 4-5 plumbers only 1 ask do I have a RCD fuse in my fuse, yes I do, ok you don't need the earth wire connected to your radiator then. And this is because of the reaction time of the RCD to break current.

Hi Kevin, I don't have a preferred brand really. The important thing is the depth of the box so you you have the depth for the lugs
I cant understand ....in the house it show earth cable connect neutral with the MET? Can you explain for TNCS
Hi. The neutral is at the star point of the transformer. This is 'referenced' to earth. The supply earth is connected to this. They are commoned together on the supply side sometimes, as in a TNCS and separated in the installation. or as in a TNS the earth is ran separately. This is the supply side, we don't do this on the consumer side.

very informative and accurate, i dont know why we dont write down the value of ohm we get and where to compare the result to, like u said jst 0.05, as we get bigger sites, these numbers dont calculate, the adibiatic has been done for thermal constraints, but was i an acceptable value of negligible resistance between esposed and extraenous. On paper it says continuity tickbox and verification tickbox, what is an acceptable value still. or does this no become touch voltage problem which designers will never be able to calculate before hand.

I use software to carry out design calculations which is incredibly accurate and great for my clients as a full report can be sent confirming all calculations meet the requirements. The problem with this method is that, as an electrician, you become lazy and lose the ability to manually do the calculations. You've given me a bit of food for thought here because it's clear to me that I have become reliant on software. Thanks for the video. Great stuff for learners and old sparkies like myself. 💪
