Yes there were drops. Yes there were pressures. We can’t avoid the other side of the coin though. A lot of those drops had poor ball placement. A lot of those pressures were due to Deshaun holding onto the ball too long. Yes the receivers can play better. The line can block better. Stefanski can call the game better. But it is getting more and more difficult to ignore the fact Deshaun has yet to look as good as Flacco, Baker, Jacoby, hell maybe even Keenum in his 13 games as QB1 so far.

That the starters didn't play in the preseason was a total mistake. We're 3 weeks behind.

We knew the oline was aging out and way overrated by mainstream commentators. Still riding on their reputation from 4 years ago. Nothing surprising there. What IS surprising is that the offensive game plan didn't take that fact into account. Stef has a proven history of being able to work around these problems before and generally is one of the better game planners in the league, so it's puzzling. My personal speculation is that Stef let Dorsey take the reins for the offensive game plan this week. Kind of a prove it moment for the new OC. It was awful and I don't expect that to happen again. Watson was bad, but it did look more like "week 1 in a new offense with no preseason bad" (same with Cousins) than a "he's cooked" bad. Jury is still out on that but Watson is clearly having processing/mental issues. I'm incredibly scared that Watson is the next Carson Wentz. That's looking more and more probable.

You made the playoffs last year and you’re supposed to be a contender this year because of that. I know it’s week 1 and how you play in week 1 doesn’t make a season. But right now you look like you’re starting from the same point the panthers are. I think it’s going to be a struggle on offense all year. We have no electric players on offense

Horrible game plan. You can't attempt 45 passes with both of your starting tackles out and only run the ball 14 times and expect a successful outcome. Especially when it's your quarterbacks first game back since shoulder surgery.

Some of the play calling on offense too didn’t feel like a Stefanski called game to me, I’m not saying Dorsey is calling plays, but it sure didn’t feel like Kevin was. Bottom line it’s just one week. It doesn’t feel good, but it also doesn’t mean the season is over and this team is garbage. Hopefully this is a spring board into the Jax game. Had nothing to do with his attitude. During this time he was going trying to decide whether he would play in MLB or NFL. There was pressure coming from both sides. A’s thought he would report to spring training after his final season but he started having second thoughts about baseball. He was being advised by his agent not to really go into detail about his future until his mind was completely made up.

Chiefs RT J. Taylor moves his back foot a hair before the snap and that is legal as long as that foot does not touch the ground again before the snap. Lane Johnson with the Eagles does the same thing.

I just want everybody to remember that this is the first time this Ravens offensive and defensive starters have played together since the AFCCG, none of these guys except Faalele and Simpson played in the preseason. We'll see KC again in the playoffs.

With a bad oline, edc will draft more defensive players in October and put all the weight on Lamar. PM lost against Brady in Super Bowl because his oline had suffered injuries so, having a bad oline is bad even for the best qb like PM

7:55 That's not what happened. Andy Reid called timeout first. The side ref didn't see it, but the ref at the back did and give it to him. Spagnuolo didn't see the ref at the back gave it to him and so tried to call a timeout with the side ref. But the timeout had already been granted by then. Jawaan Taylor was penalized more than any other tackle last season. Often unfairly. If you watch in slow motion, you'll see that 90% of the time, he is moving with the snap of the ball (while it is still in the center's hand, but moving). But it looks like a false start because he is moving before anyone else. Sometimes he moves a bit early and they miss it. But sometimes they call him when he didn't actually move early. He's far from the only tackle that does that. Lane Johnson of the Eagles does the same thing, and Sports Illustrated wrote an article about. I'd link, but I don't think that's possible in CZcams comments. So how come we never hear about the refs favoring the Eagles? Or the refs favoring the Jaguars (when Taylor was with them doing the exact same thing and being penalized LESS)? People hate teams that win a lot, and people are more likely to notice bad calls that go against the team they are rooting for. Combine these two natural cognitive biases, and the false narrative emerges that the refs favor the Chiefs. Same thing happened with the Patriots.

Maybe the ravens should trade qbs with the chargers. Herbert is smart strong arm, accurate, big bodied, tough and i as a Chiefs fan would love if he was out of the afc west....and the Chiefs could play lamar at least twice a year. You guys know herbert is a very good qb and so do we. He needs to be on a different team to succeed and the ravens need to get rid of lamar to succeed.

The coach missed me on situational awareness. A field goal attempt takes time off the clock. If they accept the penalty on the last field goal Green Bay doesn't get the last play. Maybe even two plays. That bothered me.
