Those two would make for a fun mini-series. They remind me of that cheap lawyer from Breaking Bad.
Sapkowski has not confirmed the identities of the 2 witchers mentioned in the Striga story. Brehen being one of them is up to interpretation.
This rocks
Not much. But it's enough for me 👍🏼
Hey man, hope your doing well havent seen any uploads! Miss your videos.
Can someone explain to me why Philippa Elihart is evil? I think she has poor social skills and is hated/punished for it because it makes her come across as ungrateful/manipulative/selfish, whereas other characters like Dijkstra/Yennefer/Geralt/Emhyr come across better due to their social skills.
how did you get to the idea that "the strongest should get the contract?" I found out Cody Pondsmith, who wrote this lore through the TRPG, had an ask box, and asked about why the Bears left and worked together: My question: "the way that I read Arnaghad's lore was something akin to Lambert's character but a more extreme case. That even though he was so anti-social, he garnered support as a counter cultural figure because he gave voice to the discontentment Witchers like Lambert feel especially with the way things like destiny, duty, and knightly virtues are used to dress up the innate cruelty of Witcher life, and that, if they are to make new Witchers, they should be upfront about that cruelty. Is there any truth to that or am I reading too much into it?" His reply: "I think your characterization of Arnaghad is pretty spot on. He was born in Gemmera, which is a very harsh place, and he was shaped by that brutality. During his training he was fully aware of just how cruel the mages that experimented on them were and, perhaps more importantly, he was aware of how disposable the other students and him were to said mages. Where Erland tried to find meaning in the suffering they were put through, Arnaghad just embraced that suffering as another fact of life. There is no greater good, just immoral mages looking to destroy monsters and cut throat kings trying to make super soldiers. Witchers were created to solve a problem and that's all there is to it. A Job." This has always been evident to me. The Order of Witchers got their students through very wicked means. Human trafficking, kidnapping, buying them from uncaring parents. The Bears were the ones like Lambert, who refused to be controlled any longer by their captors. The survival of the fittest, rule of the strong thing, isnt as you present it here either. The Bears dont believe in that as a hard set rule, they famously dont have a code after all. Instead, what Cody clarified he meant was that they don't hold back in training, discourage cooperation since WItchers work alone on the path, and dont care if anyone but them can get by, because by taking in new students, they're ruining lives like theirs were ruined, and so encouraged new students to focus on their own needs above all else, and to fight for those needs if they want them. The "Rule of the Strong" thing wasn't meant to be taken as literally either. Arnaghad never said that as a rule. Instead he said "Anyone who wants to command me has to fight me for it" And that set a precedent. Hell, the Bears dont even kill other Witchers, just fight to wound, because they aren't monstrous barbarians like you want to see them as. I'm sorry, but you missed the point of this school. The main reason they even ran the school, according to Cody Pondsmith, was to be left alone by the rulers of the world. It literally says in his lore that Arnaghad "favored autonomy above all else."
your English is horrible
the only cat with a name, had to look it up.
Where does it say that a black horse with red eyes will make people go mad? Really curious on this info
I wish the voice actor from the books.Did regis in the game. Also dandelion. I even love his Geralt. The guy did a top notch job almost as good as top notch swords.
I've read the books and played the game so many times. I just recently read the books again. And I got so sad when Regis died. But then I remember that he'll be back at the end of the games and I was so happy. Is up such a unique storytelling experience
This was one of the most disturbing quests
Finished the series a while back. Thankyou for these videos
Those sorceresses honestly cause more problems than they solve
Great video, I am becoming a fan of your channel

Barbegazi as an Insect? Whos idea was that? XDD Barbegazi are Gnomes with Ski long feet, looking like old men with long hairy body! Please respect swiss Gnomes as they are!
Why does he look 40 if he’s 19 ahaha
Dimension jumping cat I have him as a pet in cyberpunk 2077
I love these Witcher school deep dive videos. I do like the Manticore Witcher armour, especially the Legendary Manticore armour which I hope that when next Witcher game is out that the school of the Manticore armour gets a similar treatment to the rest, with a base set to grandmaster or mastercrafted set
Alzur made a step forward with the Witchers just to take two steps back with the Viy. I would love to see a Witcher game set during the Order of Witchers, where its a golden age of monster slaying and that Witchers are desperately needed and hired with the Continent being a frontier
The Wight from W3, the spoon one looked kinda cute and clumsy with the way he moved.
Who is more stronger him or Geralt ?
This woman right here is why I never romance Triss Merigokd in Witcher 3. Triss simps for Phillipa way too hard absolutely to Geralt's detriment.
Thank you very much! Only video I could find on Elaine Ettariel lore.
I was always under the impression that the last Crone thay survived was Baba Yaga, since she does share a striking resemblance.
really good video, thanks <3
I measured a ladder today using the 'geralt system'. Confused tf put of my client but I put on the pan face and now he quoted me the geralt measurement on the phone.😅😅😅 thanks! I shall now subscribe and see how far we can spread the Geralt system
Excellent video! Youve earned a new subscriber 🫡
How ironic that the leader of the Lodge of Sorceresses, a sisterhood dedicated to protecting the interests of magic, ended up having an indirect but still undeniably major role in creating one of the worst enemies of magic in the Witcher video games. (Not on purpose, but still…)
Armand III after Hawkeye.
Some interesting fan theory I heard is that female witchers are possible, but any attempts to make one was forbidden because they discovered that the female converts were capable of reproduction, birthing the first born witchers. Likely, they would have killed the female and the infant to hide this because witchers were made with the intent on protecting humanity from monsters. And if they could breed their own kind, then what's the point on protecting humans when they clearly won't survive on their own anyway?
melusine in witcher 3 vs melusine in genshin be like.... XD
I'm sorry. I'm very jnsterested in the lore you compiled, but the tone is dreary and devoid of emotion. Maybe look to another ai voice or another actor
Nicely presented, will subscribe. Just going from the game I always thought little of radovid but you describing how he yearned for glory for his family name gives him some respect to me at least
yav can i ask you a interesting question
sure, whats the question?
They're kinda cute in a certain light.
My biggest problem with this scenario is people keep saying a few children... like this event only happens once how many is a few children over decades of sacrifices? This could be thousands upon thousands of children... the fact is those adults made a choice to stay in the swamps those children did make a choice at all, in all the children that's going to come after them.. those people are nothing but a bunch of murderers... murderers of Innocence... just imagine someone stealing your child and sacrifice them in some strange ritual, you going to want to put that person under the prison then imagine it was actually you... those people or just as wicked as the crones. They all justify their evil for comfort..
They tricked the villagers, they thought children were alive and saw the illusion that they were leaving velen
Always thought about using a very large hammer against a shaelmaar. A werebear would stand no chance. What about a giant basilisk like in the skeleton knight anime?
yav i have a question for you and that during thr dettlaff fight when hr turns into smoke is he running really fast similar to a burxa or is he out right telleporting?
Great video! Glad to finally find a Witcher lore channel that has a pleasant voice and well-articulated script! Instant subscribe.
While Regis was my favourite character in the books and I was very happy to meet him in Witcher 3, I think it cheapened his death in the books, and overall making higher vampires essentially unkillable generally was, in my opinion, perhaps one of the greatest mistakes Witcher 3 made. The same goes for Regis' fight scene in Witcher 3, whereas he always says he's never going to fight anyone until that one moment where he ambushes Vilgefortz to save Geralt, that one moment not being a one-off also cheapens his dedication to peace. So yeah, great character, but I'm conflicted on pretty much everything about him in Witcher 3.
Completely agree. The games changed the state his body was left in, repeatedly mentioning 'wet smear', as if there was still some biological matter left. Whereas in the Lady of the Lake, he was completely melted into the column, leaving behind only a vague suggestion of a human-like figure. While apparently Sapkowski left it up to interpretation whether or not Regis was completely dead, I think the event was meant to illustrate the true scale of Vilgefortz's power, and that even Regis wouldn't make it out of Stygga alive. But yeah, there's a ton more stuff that they changed/added about higher vampires in tw3, some of which I kind of wish they didn't
Its based on Baba Yaga from slavic mythology who is a witch living in forest in a hut which stands on chicken's leg.
Ah, too bad he died during the trials. Seems like a clever guy, though I don't think it's unlikely we'd see him again in a future Witcher game, as there aren't that many witchers alive, so CDPR knows they can't introduce too many new ones, which means the surviving ones we meet are the ones that should be used again when you need another witcher once more in the story. The same goes for the books, there were five living Witchers that we saw throughout the entire book series, and Coen died of course (and Geralt at the end).
I would love to see an all female witcher school possibly led by Ciri herself. That would be awesome.
