- The White frost, also known as the White Chill is said to eventually destroy the world of the witcher, but what exactly is the white frost?

The W3 take on the white frost for sure 😅
When I read the books and found out it was just an ice age😬…kinda shot the aen Elle’s supposed urgency (but also patience??) in the foot. Also the magical element just sits better in a fantasy imo. Makes it all the more fun a premise.
While I think the version from the games is cooler (pun not intended), it also disregards the plot of the books. If it had been like this, the books could not possibly play out that way.
If the White Frost had been a magical force that can be stopped, firstly, a previous carrier of the Elder Blood could have done it, and secondly, the Aen Elle would have been invested in training Ciri to do just that, after which they could let her go, then the whole thing about wanting to keep her weak and only caring about forcing her to carry children makes no sense.
The reason to have her children was to keep the bloodline going until the time when it was needed to open a portal for the entire Aen Elle population to escape, and possibly to rescue the Aen Seidhe from their world as well when necessary.
