My goal is to document 1,000 hiking videos in Southern California (of 1,000 different hikes). Along the way, I will visit other parts of California and as many states as I can possibly get to. Hiking is simply my thing, and I have the need and desire to share the wealth with all.
The main purpose of this channel is to showcase the trailside highlights of hiking trails that I visit. Mostly, these are visits to peaks in Southern California, but over time other types of trails will be included and other locations. To those looking to also hike to any of these locations, these videos would undoubtedly be helpful.
Hikes and nature are the true stars of this channel, I am merely the messenger. Easy and hard hikes will get completed. Now armed with a video camera, it will be fun contributing to the quality content that is already out there. Hopefully, my contribution will serve as an enhancement to the community, one weekend at a time.

Hiking The Antonovich Trail: San Gabriel Valley, San Dimas, CA.
Much like my visit to nearby Marshall Canyon, I will occasionally take a break from the peak hikes and revisit places linked to my early days of hiking. The first time I visited the Antonovich Trail, it was known as Walnut Creek Regional Park. The trail was the Walnut Creek Trail. At the time, it was pretty much a neighborhood dumping ground. I often saw appliances, tires, and other assorted trash all over the place. Despite it all, I could still see the beauty of the place. Because of that, I would occasionally come back. I am glad to see the canyon is now cleaned up, despite a little bit of lingering graffiti in certain spots. Now that it is given its proper respect, expect a lot of visitor traffic on the trail!

Visit Date: 5/21/95, I've been to Yellowstone a handful of times, but this was the only time when snow dominated the landscape. It was only a few weeks away from summer, so this was completely unexpected. Fortunately, the unexpected is a welcomed feature when creating travel videos. Growing up friends and I used to hike these hills we would just get up into the hills through our back yard and let it take us where it did ..There wasn't trails back then ..Those were the good ole days 😊🤗

There is also a small parking lot for the Fossil Falls Trail to the South of Red Hill, accessed from the same exit.
lots of comments on other sites about a lot of flies and bugs, did you find that to be true?
I don't specifically remember an overwhelming number of bugs on the day (in June 2023). However, since it is a thick forest through there, high bug numbers usually happen, especially into the summer. It's probably true, which makes visiting earlier in the rainy season a better option. Not only would there be more water in the falls, but less bug activity.

I didn't get arrested for doing it. I saw no locked gate declaring private property. If that has changed, I'm unaware of it.

Been out there a couple of times but haven't done Peak 8868...although, did Heart Bar Peak on snowshoes one time.
