how to search fixture, where were used (in MA2 it was "search") - listref for fixtures isn't working

Hello, so I'm trying to set up the list you give in the video but some of the fixtures are not available. How can I make sure I'm using the same program as you? Everything looks the same except for a few things.

"Select DMX mode to use " window not showing in my laptop, help me i am using MA3 2.0.2.0.

If i store different focus levels from a specific fixture type in a group. It has to be selective (since each value of the moving head is different). So this means a focus preset in my case is selective. If i’m using recipes in a cue. Why can’t i use the selective preset as a recipe? (The name turns red in the recipe window)

Would love a video on the changes to the selection grid!

The annoying part of MVR and gdtf was s that the entire purpose of goal of both these projects was to have all of this just work. And of course to save a LOT of money on library fees. Very poorly planned and executed. The working group should be open

What is the difference between " assign" and "store"?

Hello Sir, I'm from Portugal and a newbie in MA products. For this tutorial I have a question: How do I remove a fixture (in a group) from the 3D view, without messing with the group?

any difference to be aware between the network update vs boot update or it is the same thing ? Do we need to chose one over the over depending on the situation ?

First time Working with MA,in patch why not create the groups first and then patch the fixture ,half the work,or I’m missing something

Hi, I’ve got to the point. I pretty much understand 100% of the gui and like 70% on the commandline I see all of these amazing tools yet I am not sure on how to lay them out or the best way to set them up for a specific console say on pc to a actual ma3 light. Is there any chance you could do a video on just general guidance on the most efficient way to kind of lay everything out for shows like busking and timecode?

Hi Tue, and anyone else that might see this. Love these instructional videos. I just finished my advanced lighting class where we learned to program some basic cues on the MA 3. Although I'm still learning and wish I had a better grasp of everything. My questions are prob simple but couldn't figure it out. How do I assign a "release" color/dimmer into their respective all presets? How do I assign functions into the quick key presets? Ty so much

Can I do rdm via artnet?

A huge feature missing - for example your color and strobe bump L>R.. we delay on, but we only snap or fade off. We need off to respect individual attribute timing of both delay and fade. This way, we can delay on from L to R and then on OFF we can delay off from L to R or what ever. There are of course ways to do this using other means but those workflows suck. Off times should be allowed to be baked into presents, so that presets can be updated on the fly to yield any combination of off delay/time.

Went back to this video today because I saw in the dialog a "Match" button to match the RDM device to a patched fixture, but you don't mention it. I would have expected the RDM fixture to sync up with the patched fixture, but nothing happened. Do you know what this feature is supposed to do?

This is like the single greatest things I've ever seen about MA3 workflow.

I follow the steps and if I want to remove all the values as you mention for all the rest of the cues with please please and store it will only reset the values for that cue, instead if I store cue x through cue y yes it will reset everything. I use version 2.0

Why is necessary the blind?

Where did you find the Martin Mac Aura XIP for patching in grandMA3? I can only find the Mac Aura and the Mac Aura XB. They seem to have different DMX-channels ...
