  • In this GrandMA3 recipe tutorial video we are going to continue our patch of learning recipe programming.
    In the last video I showed you have you can build a simple song using only recipe programming.
    In this video I will show you have you can make all your faders and executers use the same programming principals with using grandMA3 recipes.
    I hope you like it, and you can use the comment section if you have any comments or questions.

    Thanks Tue. What I love about your videos is that you always pick real world examples. So I learn more than just the tool. ❤ For bumps I prefer to use TOP instead of GO+. This way I can run the bump multiple times in quick succession.

      I am glad you find it useful and I always try to make real world examples so it’s. It is not just theoretical 😀 Top is a great way as-well. GrandMA3 is so cool because there is not just one way of achieving your goal 😀

    Love these tutorials, greetings from Norway! Nice with some new perspectives, and also how a more experienced tech uses this amazing new software. For a full-on busking situation I had colors and positions for different groups of lights on the small rotary encoders with a load-function on the button and a or go+/- on the encoder, with a macro to "go all loaded" on another button, which worked quite well. I prefer having some prebuilt looks, but you never know what you are going to have to do out there.

      Greetings from Barcelona (ISE this week) nice that you get something out of the videos 👍 Yes the rotary encoders can be quite useful and work great with recipes as-well 😀

    Thanks Tue! Your recent videos have given me the confidence to build my next show file using all recipes.

    Hi Tue, thanks a lot. I've learned so much from your videos. Great job. In the recent video you could have saved some time and clicks by just selecting (clicking) the desired sequence in the sequence pool. As soon as you start typing on the keyboard, the label editor opens automatically and you can type the name. Also, the sequence is selected and opened in the sequence window. No need to type "label" or use quickeys. However, I understand that you sometimes prefer the long way in order to show all possibilities. ;-)

      Great that you are learning 😀😀 And yes, you are quite right about the labeling. I try to use different approaches in my videos so people can see that there is many ways of achieving the same result 😀

    Hi Tue, and anyone else that might see this. Love these instructional videos. I just finished my advanced lighting class where we learned to program some basic cues on the MA 3.
    Although I'm still learning and wish I had a better grasp of everything.
    My questions are prob simple but couldn't figure it out. How do I assign a "release" color/dimmer into their respective all presets?
    How do I assign functions into the quick key presets? Ty so much

    Nice video as always. I especially liked how you fixed your "mistake" because it showcased the power of the recipes. I would definitely be interested in seeing how you use the small encoders.

      Yes the recipes is really powerfull and the flexibility is huge. 😀

      I've got one i think interesting usage. I'm using execs 401 thru 405 for different chases. All that execs are 2 cues - first is left to right and second right to left (some combinations with wings and blocks ofc). Key is assigned as toggle where encoder is used as Go+/Go-

    If you store the all group like that dont X and Y MaTricks brake. I Save the all group using the 2D Top view and make sure the Grid selection is correct.

    How do you make release presets btw?

    • @Event-Lighting
      @Event-Lighting  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Choose a color and click one of the color parameters above the wheels. In the popup menu, find release and click. (Make sure you are in “feature” not “single” ) when you have done that you can save it as a preset.

    I have trouble making a release preset. It stores as empty when i try to do it

    • @Event-Lighting
      @Event-Lighting  Před 4 měsíci

      Make I dimmer active by making it full. Release the parameter and store that as a preset 😀

      Thanks. That worked. The icon however becomes a white circle with a slice of yellow, don’t know what that slice is representing. Do you?

      Start a phaser (position color etc.) stomp the attribute and store a preset. That works. 😀
