Just found out I indeed have a J model! Previous owner told me it was an ‘89 an steered me wrong. He also had those two ducts on the bottom of the airbox screwed in upside down causing them to rub on the filter and throw everything out of wack. Thanks for the Awsome video and sharing your knowledge! One step closer to getting this bike back running well!
I've seen your videos many times over the last two years and I am really, really grateful for it. This might not have a 100k views but you can be absolutely certain you've helped a fellow biker out more than once ❤
Hello thanks for the informative video. Could you please give a link to the recomended connectors cheers
Mine has hoses which run from the top of the carb between 1/2 carb and 3/4 carb and end up at a loose end by the rear spring. Are they exhausts?
Just looking at getting a CB1 and your video is so helpful to understand the inner workings of this beautiful beast - thank you!

Like you said, its a mystery to me.
can you share the adapter measurements to use the cbr600 f2 rear wheel?
Can you tell me what height the floats should be set please.
Awesome video. Learned a ton as someone who knows absolutely nothing. My first wiring project will be chopping a harness for my shadow 600 bobber.
Great video mate, comprehensive, and just what the doctor ordered for my Blackbird. Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I have a question... I want to directly connect my twin headlights (on a KTM 640 Adv) to the battery, using 2 relays. Instead of using 4 (2+2) "negative" cables, is there a secure connection of these 4 into one so that to be connected alone somewhere on the chassis?

Hi I came over to yours a few years ago for some bits . I am chasing funds to get another CB-1 nice to see you
Are teaching the truth or not ? Why that warning at the beginning?
Good job, useful.😊
Useless
The reason you aren't meant to reuse copper washers is because they work harden. This is easily remedied by annealing them, which softens the copper.
U are the best teacher i ever had . If only we had people like u explaining things as good as u our lives would’ve been much easier. Thanks a looot . Im just enjoying the way u explain things.
It's notched to use a different spring
I just bought a cb1 and I'm so grateful I found your channel. Thanks a lot for all the infos! Greetings from Germany
Cuánto le hecho de aceite ?
I'm having an issue with my CB-1 where after a carb rebuild by a third party the throttle is very stiff. It takes real effort to twist on, then sticks and needs to be twisted back to off. Any clues what might be the issue?
i have the same bike. and my issue is that, if i try to start the bike, it's cranking, but wont start, maybe do some back fireing, but wont start :/ any idea?
I’m in the process of repairing a loom and learned all this while doing it, so I wish I’d seen this video before I began! You have a good way of simplifying electrics, and a good way of explaining them. Some close-ups would be useful, although it would mean you would have to do some editing. The ratchet crimpers are brilliant, but there is a correct way to insert the pins into them so that one shoulder crimps the insulation, while the other shoulder crimps the copper wire. You also need to put the connector in the right way up so the tangs curl back in on themselves. I used a good few connectors in trial and error before I got it right. Well done on making a complex topic easier to understand 👍🏻
Thank you for this new approach, paralleling it with an underground map! It is still unclear how to make actual connections that disembark at the "fields", i.e. ground connection signs that look like a lighting pole or shower on the diagram, are placed in the middle of the route, or some crisscross of the wire that most likely are some connections since they are again, marked with some bow or circle. Do you "weld" directly into the line or do you have to branch it from either end of the connection?
Anyone confident enough to wanna try help me wire some lights from a battery to a 03 rm85 I have vids on my Chanel?
where is the shocky rebuild ?
Did you eventually have to re-valve the Fireblade shock? How did the shock conversion work with stock CB1 spring?
Such a good succinct explanation thank you

Found this video very helpful. Working on a garage build at the moment and all the wiring is messed up. Thanks dude!
the best video of your channel. from the rest of the videos nothing can be recovered
Good day sir, my name is Jason and i currently owned a 2018 CB1000 Neo. Long story short, i was riding the other day and find out about a loud noise on my front end. Nothing wrong with the engine while running, no knocking/ticking noise as i did my research on google, just a very loud growling noise which i suspect is the fan making the noise. Is it a sig of coolant need to replace or anything else i would do to make it less annoying while stand at stop light ? Are there such thign as maintaining the fan ? i would love to hear and learn from you
Hi there. I have a cbr 400 triarm ( nc 23 ) and I've built it hack from scratch. ( pieces literally ). This bike type is rare in my country so had trouble finding parts and had to pair some with the cbr hurricane and gullarm parts. I need some help to further evaluate, is there a way to contact you ???
Nice repair! When you restore or have a project bike do you generally go through the wiring with a multimeter and check all continuity? Do you clean all electrical contacts with anything in particular?
Good video. I'm putting together a Honda NT650 GT Hawk and the stock shock is garbage. I had a CBR900rr on my first NT650 with the stock spring an it worked well. I bought a clean CBR900rr shock and this time I'm going to use a 1250lb spring (I think the stock GT Hawk spring is 1100lb). The heavier the spring load the harder it seems to source one (unless you buy new of course). I set a $1K budget to get it back on the road so I'm watching my funds. When you separated the canister did you loose all the gas is the cartridge?
👍
Awesome video for those of us doing our due diligence before putting off the valve checks another year... cheers!
Can you tell me the model of the disc pads or something?
Would it be possible to fit NC31 carbs on NC27?
