It'll be special looking back on these.

I mainly use my ps5 for CZcams and films and such, I barely play any games on them. The battery doesn't help being so short, I just keep it plugged in. I just bought a replacement battery for the wii u gamepad but I don't think you can buy better batteries for the dualsense. I mainly been playing the ps2 and 3. I'm gonna get my dad to help me refurbished the ps3 since the fan gets so loud so gonna put a load of thermal pads on as well. I've been buying some GameCube games as well such as Wario World, MK Double Dash, Billy Hatcher... Been replaying Sonic Heroes a lot as well, Gran Turismo 6, Burnout 3. I even managed to still buy tje DLC for NFS Most Wanted 2012 snd I've been importing wll my CDs to the ps3 so I'll ben playing my favorite games listening to the Shadow the Hedgehog ost. I love the ps3 more each day. They've really regressed since. I remember the first time I put a cd in the ps4 and was genuinely shocked and extremely disappointed.

That's awesome that you found that. If I had the living room space, I'd probably make a $200 mini PC and load the bad larry with older/indie titles and all of the emulators.

I just use an xbox 360 because I don't have the means to get something new, but I don't feel I'm missing out. I feel like I'm appreciating it fully, playing it long-term

i keep my old systems. Still got my OG Xbox, PS2, 360 slim, ps3 slim, Wii, and everything. Dont have my gamecube anymore but that’s because it died on me.

I'll do you one better: The PC makes too much sense. You can play almost any game from 20-30 years ago to today, and have little to no problems. You want to play Assassin's Creed 2? Go for it. Doom? Sure. Emulation? Absolutely. The latest and greatest? You know it.

The only reason I haven't upgraded to any of the next generation hardware (except for Nintendo Switch) is no money and bad luck with jobs. Just a heads up with some of the digital 360 games, they have DRM. If you aren't connected to Xbox live, it won't let you start the game.

Fable series was my favorite Xbox series. Part of the reason I had a 360. But 360 didn't have enough JRPGs and Xbox still doesn't have a lot of games I like. I loved my Xbox 360 and still have it.

This console was my whole childhood, even the annoying ads that played on the Home Screen are nostalgic to me. It just reminds me of sunnier days and happier times

Only reason I went to the X was to play the modern version of Assetto Corsa Competizione. Which I wish I would’ve just got a PC for. Because I really have no desire to play anything new.

I still play games from yhe 2000s. Spore, Zoo Tycoon 2, and Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. The big issue(latter two) that i cannot play some of these games on modern(Windows11) laptops. I wish games would focus more on fun than realism. I guess in this case it makes those older games more desireable🙂

im a ps guy. but had a xbox Og. played a ton of god tier games ,and later on switchted. to ps5. i came from a time were "gamers" were kind of losers . fat and antisocial on TV . games were with love and just FUN. recently bought a Xbox one x just for the Horse power to absolut max out Ninja gaiden 2 . finally OG NG2 , i fuckin love that game. thic gameplay. a story ,just a reason to move on and easy over 3k hours in 1 game . and im not done yet. dont like that beeing a gamer" is cool these days. cause ppl dont know what their doin. and throw some money. and shure ,...if there is money there will be more of stuff (shit games) that comes out , and ruins Love and pation" (my Englisch is terrible sorry)

I used to have an XBOX 360. It was a major part of my childhood. countless hours sitting behind a screen holding that amazing xbox 360 controller, playing away at some of my most favorite games. there is not a better feeling than that.

A thought I had which you didn't touch on, is even though many games from this era are available to play on PC and as remastered on modern consoles, they almost all are worse than the original in a significant way. Some examples - Gears of War is available on modern consoles remastered, but they removed a heap of the blood and gore meaning the game has lost a significant amount of its horror vibe, which is significantly what defined those earlier GoW games. Or the Halo CE Anniversary is disgusting compared to the OG as it's overexposure and sometimes worse graphics (and no the 'Classic Graphics' option is worse than the OG graphics in every single way - plenty of comparison vids on CZcams). So that's another reason why owning a 360 can be considered a plus - because even old games on modern hardware are generally worse in some way. Personally I'm starting to get over newer games. I've been gaming since the late 90s. My bro bought DiabloIV so I could play with him so fair enough I did that (love ya bro). I bought Helldivers 2 and am still having fun with that and don't see the point in moving onto something else for many months. But I've started getting back into old games on the side so, I've been playing NFS Underground 2 this year. I've slowly been buying (on special on Steam) the older Assassin's Creeds, CoDs, Command and Conquers and I realised just how many brilliant old games there are.

Xbox One was so bad that it made me a PC gamer. I probably would have stayed a loyal Xbox fan if the One was _half_ as good as the 360. I promise you it's not just nostalgia and 'completeness" that the 360 era provides, it's everything. It was a genuinely good era in gaming where games had perfect artistic direction, where fun was there, where clunkiness of translating hand actions to in-game ones was mostly gone so everything was just comfortable to play. Where microtransactions existed but they were "hey, buy this or don't, it really doesn't matter. But this way bigger fun multihour DLC also exists so check that out." This was an era where EA were the only bad guys even though Mass Effect, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, etc. were all great, and Ubisoft was still respected if not getting a little criticism for laziness but it wasn't so bad. Where Call of Duty had its biggest hits featuring the whole Modern Warfare trilogy and WaW-BO2, literally all the praised games before the series fell off immediately on the One's launch (though you still could play Ghosts on 360). Halo had its biggest titles with 3, Reach, and ODST. The best selling RPG of all time also came out in this era for the first time, Skyrim. And today literally every studio and franchise here are 'the bad guys' of the modern gaming industry. EA is even worse somehow. Ubisoft is EA-lite. Activision is pumping out soulless CoDs that have terrible, and sometimes no stories. 343 has run Halo into the ground, and Bungie's not doing any better with how bad Destiny is being run. And Bethesda has released Skyrim over and over and has performed countless blunders like paid mods, Fallout 76, and Starfield's whole mess. And everyone feels this. When I'm asked what my favourite console is, no one is shocked when I say the 360. Even if they're a Sony fan there's no argument, just that they agree with the slight adjustment the PS3 was better. It doesn't really matter. And I don't blame people at all for playing modern hardware and consoles. Not everyone wants to play Fable for the first time, they want to play Starfield, or Horizon Zero Dawn 2, or whenever Mass Effect 4 and Bioshock 4 are coming out, or ES6, and so on.
