The biggest fear of any redos of classic shows is the woke mentality. It has just about buried Dr Who.

Another series might be The Starlost, a 1973 Canadian series created by Harlan Ellison about a huge generational starship where the passengers have forgotten their origins. The original series was very low budget, but with an adequate budget it could be very good.

How about five scifi shows that do not deserve to comeback?

Does anyone remember the name of the episode when a little boy fell out of his bed through the wall and into another dimension and his father had to go in to save his son because the opening was closing? As you can tell that was a favorite.

Great list. Glad you included”A Feasibility Study” My personal favorite In reading the comments no one mentioned “Cry of Silence”. Maybe not really fitting the category of most disturbing. But certainly great ,fascinating and disturbing enough!

I just want to say I loved Sea Hunt. And this was the reason back in the early 60s at a young African American girl wanted to learn how to swim. Not to drown but to become a skin diver like Mike Nelson. I had to chance to meet him and he was really a wonderful person and I told him how he impacted my life. He just smiled and he said that's one of the best things you ever heard. I still watch Sea Hunt and I never did become a scuba diver but it's a part of my childhood that I would not trade for the world.

I remember watching this as a kid in the early 80s. This was hands down my favourite show and the XL-5 was my favourite spaceship (and to this day, it still is). Thanks for rekindling some fond memories!

Blake’s 7 has been remade. As Farscape, Andromeda, Lexx, and Andor, which came closest, even though it dropped the super-ship gimmick.

Born in 1949 I was 8 when SH came out. Living in Boston, It used to come on at 10pm on a weeknight I forget what day but I had to bribe my mom to let me stay up to watch it being a school night. As a kid, the stories seemed so real but as grown up you can see how unrealistic the really were. I still enjoy them today as it brings me back to the amazing 50’s when America was really America unlike today. So sad for my grandchildren not to know how great being a kid was in those wonderful years. I hate what the country has become. RIP Mike Nelson (LB). Note: I did become a diver at age 14 and eventually became a PADI instructor at 21 in Florida.

Okay. I was playing along with your list. BUT When you got to #1, you lost me. I was at the 1966 World Science Fiction, where previews of the pilots of both "Time Tunnel" and "Star Trek" both got extreme reactions- "Star Trek" got a standing ovation ... ...and "Time Tunnel" was booed and laughed off the screen

Anyone for Sliders? And what was the one where a antagonist was sending criminals to the future (using envelops painted with a chemical agent ) A Time cop was sent back to try and catch him. What was that one? Also - what was the one with a different Dylan Hunt, put in suspended animation, woke up by PAX and rode a super subway to different places?

WOW, I don't remember ANY of them! I was 10 in 1964.

The episodes that frightened me the most are not on your list. They are Don't Open Til Doomsday, The Guests, and The Mice. Storywise, I loved Demon With A Glass Hand, and Probe.

I recall watching this series in 1980 in the Uk. I loved this American show. As a 12 year old, I was captivated!

Project U.F.O. and Space 1999 were very connected, even the storylines were intermeshed with Project U.F.O. referring to 'Alpha Base' more than once.

With current trends on scifi, I dare not hope any of golden oldies getting a reboot, about five to ten years ago maybe ok, or in five to ten years in future (hopefully). But would you wish an "acolyte" makeover for your golden memories series?😅

'It Crawled out of the Woodwork' is about how impossible it is to be rid of radioactive waste, and how some of it will 'breed' and irradiate other substances. Quite a bit of SF is warnings from people working with this stuff, and getting the message out in morality plays.

When I had my boyhood in the 1960's, The Time Tunnel was my favorite TV show and the beginning of my lifelong obsession and fascination with time travel. If I could build a real life, working time machine, besides investing in Microsoft, Apple Computer, Amazon, Netflix and other winners I would then know about. I would use my time machine to transport extinct species like the Passenger Pigeon from the past and then reintroduce extinct species like the Passenger Pigeon to the 21st Century.

Alien Nation. Yes, they wrapped it up with a series of TV movies that tied up loose ends and ended the threat of the Newcomers evil superiors by simply wiping them out offscreen with a human created plague (Spoilers!) but the whole idea of a huge group of non-terrestrials attempting to assimilate into human society is still a fascinating concept. And it was also a pretty good police drama

Space 1999 rocks.

Otherworld (1985) and The Chronicle (2001) . All of the five in the video have at least had DVD releases of them . To me , that's not forgotten . The shows that are truly forgotten have no DVD releases .

Time Tunnel was fantastic. The original Quantum Leap.

I never knew about the film, but there is a TV series about the general idea and the same title with an additional twist to it.

Me too. I'm 70. I still love the show.

However comically clever the writers of Dudley Do-Right were, I totally understand protecting the image and preserving the legacy and meaning of Smokey The Bear. Imagine though, incorporating the infamous and very serious Chicago Fire as a cartoon parody in their storyline. Who knew that this cartoon would entertain and educate children at the same time. Priceless.

I was young enough to remember watching it in syndication, and loved it.. Mainly the music as their adventures were a bit too wacky for my taste.. It's funny watching it online now, especially with the music chosen to dub the original songs..Yellow Submarine is excellent and best enjoyed with an edible..😂

Good choices. Since I've never seen Blake's 7, I probably would have gone with Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

Saying each episode name twice is annoying, but otherwise fun stuff.
