      Jake and his brother are fish keepers since the age of 10. They have salt water aquariums and koi ponds. If you watched the video even his father shows his koi pond on his phone! Jake payed for all the fish except 1 gift. He selected the fish himself. It’s not fair to judge if you never met someone in person right? Anyway, thanks for watching and reaching out ❀

      Hi David, they didn’t. So to clear things up. The pond water is lowered here for the new fish. In total it’s around 60-65 cm in depth. The pond is twice the size and the koi can swim underneath the stepping stones to the other side. It has 2 bottomdrains and a medium sized filter. The fish are doing well extremely good and the water is Crystal clear. I’ve uploaded an update 2 days ago on my socials. If Jake wants more koi we will advise him to make changes to the pond.

    The fish pond is too shallow, the water pressure is low, and the koi need more exercise. Their growth rate will be low, and they can't grow into grand sizes in the future. Moreover, they can't have a good body shape and may have a belly.

      Hi buddy, plz see the other comments where I reacted. I understand why people think it’s too shallow. Water has been lowered around 15-20 cm for the delivery. Also climate is tropical, no winters etc. Plz see other comments. Thanks for watching buddy 😃

    A koi pond should be minimum 4 feet deep but i wouldnt expect these clowns to know anything about anything.

      Do you know the reason why a koi pond in general is 4ft deep? One of those reasons is climate. Here in Puerto Rico it’s never colder than 20-25 degrees Celsius. This pond is a converted koi pond, maybe in the future he will get a new pond. For now the filtration, bottomdrains and 10K liters of water is enough to hold the fish

      Yvo - you should know that such shallow ponds will only result in the koi having poor body shapes with pot bellies and no muscle as they cannot go up and down to the depths.
