Went up to Cornelius to record the quarterly nuclear siren test for McGuire Nuclear Station. The siren itself was pretty loud (well, I was only like 50 ft. away lol), and the area is very nice!

I included clips of the train that derailed in Merrill at the end of the video, pretty crazy situation; happened the night before Wednesday so I took my camera to film the test as well as the train recovery operation.

This new 2001-130 was installed on June 3rd, 2020 to replace an existing 2001-SRN in the Catawba Nuclear siren system, as siren 60. Seems like it already has some pitch issues to me, but it went off on time along with the rest of the Duke Energy siren systems for the quarterly 2nd Wednesday 11:50 AM test. Well, I tried to record the Decot in Jefferson but that was a dud, and it has a new FS Eclipse right across the street (video clip at end), so I'm guessing the Decot is dead. Caught the FS 508 at the Rib Mountain Public Safety Building and I was super excited to hear the P-50, glad it still works! It can be heard around 0:15, 0:27, 0:52 and 0:56 (prominently), and 1:04.

Hey guys! I was in northern WI again this year and didn't record any sirens (not really into it that much anymore) but I decided to record two on my way out. This one was in Fenwood, WI, which is about 30 minutes from Wausau, and it goes off every day at noon. It's a super small town so I'm surprised they have any siren at all!

Hey guys! Back from my hiatus lol. I was driving back from Wisconsin and passing through Louisville when a huge storm went through yesterday, and we were right downtown when the sirens went off. I heard a Modulator and I kinda thought I heard a 2T22, then I heard a 2001 on the highway later. So here's this video before I post the others I got during the trip haha.

Drove 13 hours up to Naperville and then 5 hours the next day up to Merrill, finally nabbed one of the new T-128s with my camcorder. The 2T22s activated right at 12 and then the T-128s did. They were supposed to put a third T-128 in the center of Merrill but I don't think they ever did, not sure why.

in the Saluda River, they have active DSAs but one of them have unknown testing of them.
the ASC T-121 is still active, but it has an unknown time of testing. or maybe it’s inactive. I think it’s still active.

I think the 2001s are from the city of Sun Prairie as this siren is very close by to where the two cities meet. SP has all 2001s.

R. I. P. Medford ATIs. FS replaced then with Equinoxes. Oh, and the testing time changed to every Wednesday at 12:00 PM. LOL I found both of those out the hard way.
