This album was my first introduction to Deftones - and to harder music in general - back in 2013, I was 16 years old, and on the first listen I fell asleep, lol. It became an instant favorite and have been in frequent rotation since. I've expanded to most of Deftones' discography, but this album will always be special. It makes me happy to see you finally discover Diamond Eyes :D

Honestly everything they’ve ever put out is fucking sick. Their earlier stuff is more straight melodeath with a modern twist but they really came into their own on the Redfog EP. Nija was one of the best albums of 2020, and Descent is a punishingly heavy album that somehow maintains hooks. They have something special and totally deserve to blow up imo

This was their "Black" album where they shortened and simplified the songs This was recorded at their Studio in NYC named Silvercord and was co-produced and engineered by the band Sadly Joe and Mario Duplantier's mother was dying of cancer while they were recording the album and STRANDED was about that struggle If you liked the song PRAY watch the live extended version from RED ROCKS 2017 Totally epic 😎👋🧐🤘

I kid you not, the first time I heard about Beartooth, in 2016, was when I got into CS:GO and found out they had a music kit with songs from Disgusting in it, and I was like "huh, this sounds sick, I should probably check this band out". Ever since then, this album has been on my top 50.

A late comment, but if anyone has the chance to watch Boundaries live. I'd hugely suggest you go, Matt has one of the most energetic performances I've ever seen.

Awesome I hope you will get to listen to Nija because in that album you got some of their top songs like "North star of Nija" "Open Eye" "Nensha" and "The Shadowing" and the music videos for those songs are really worth going for imo.
