I don't recall watching Peppermint Place, but it was a taped half-hour kids' magazine-style program, still originating from the WFAA studios. The show continued in that format for over 20 years, eventually being syndicated to 108 markets nationwide before ending its run in 1996. This used to come on in Washington, D.C. (l was in Maryland during the period) on CBS on my affiliate W*USA Channel 9 in the late 80s-early 90s Saturday mornings and on South Carolina on ABC on my affiliate WCBD 2 Cable Channel 4 also in the early 90s.
