Hey guys, Sketch here. I've played C&C Generals more or less since it came out, and have always been hooked by the Zero Hour Challenges. I post my best strategies on this channel, and regularly figure out new ones whenever I stream!
In my videos, I will discuss various ways to improve in tackling the Zero Hour Challenges. I also upload speedruns showcasing these strategies, and my playlists in time should contain my personal best runs, which you can watch to check out my best practices. Tank VS Stealth (Hard) in 9 minutes!
The quickest, most effective runs are usually not the flashiest. They somehow just work.
The biggest issue with this mission now is in coordination. I'm certain someone who can control two armies better than me can make a better timing out of this. It's just really difficult to not bumble my helix into any number of run-ending anti-air targets without paying almost full attention to those guys.
Legi has suggested I turn off retaliation, but I dunno man, I just can't seem to bring myself to do it: I'm so used to units just going out to defend themselves. Alternative solutions would be to maybe use a spotter unit of some sort, or bring more dragon tanks? Something that would require less attention than the helix would let me multitask much more easily.2

It's not that often that a skip as transformative as BKR skip comes along, so I've had quite a field day figuring out how to make use of it. Just closing the loop, don't mind me! The break-in approach for General Juhziz is a little more expensive, even with BKR skip. But somehow I make it before he can even fire his particle cannons! I think I've squeezed out as much as I can from this one for now. A slightly earlier oil capture gives me just the boost I need to build my combat chinooks a bit faster. So here's a fun fact: If you trigger a certain part of the laser wall twice, the laser wall will instantly go down and never come back up! This trick was sent to me by a Discord user BKR. There are a few improvements I added to this run over my previous one: 1. I grab the oil on the high ground about 2 minutes earlier. The way oil works is you get $1000 per minute, so that translates to roughly $2000 more. I suspect I will be doing this with future runs as other generals. 2. 1:06 The A-10s AI tries to hit concentrations of valuable stuff. Consites count too so I drop a bunch and then cancel once the A-10s are called. The timing is fixed and I know it by heart.
Oh thanks! I see the A10 came at 1:55 Is there any indicator that they'll come (as in they're called) or is it just you knowing it by heart
@DetectiveLevi you can use the s&d announcement as reference. It's triggered about a second after the a10s get triggered.
Against me she is relentless with the migs. How is she barely attacking him with them?
She is attacking my oils and arty platforms. It gets harder later but I'm usually done way before it becomes a problem.

Thanks again! The emergency repair is more for safety. If I hit low hp because of some avenger or gatling I didn't see quick enough, I have a rescue card.

4:54 - Better to sell for the money, and to clear space for my units to attack. That second part is something I wanna focus on soon. I believe Nuke and Demo will see more time saves. Maybe Stealth? The rest already run fast enough to not need BKR skip.
