MEAR ONE has been at the forefront of LA’s graffiti & mural culture for nearly three decades. He is famous for having pioneered the Melrose graffiti art movement in the late 80s & is considered by many to be LA’s most prolific public muralist. Early on in his career, MEAR gained his recognition for building the bridge between graffiti art & fine art. He was the first graffiti artist to exhibit at the infamous 01 Gallery on Melrose & 33 1/3 Gallery in Silverlake, where Banksy would later debut his first North American show. He is perhaps best known for constructing powerful narratives juxtaposing philosophy, ancient mythology and modern politics to inspire an evolved conscious. This interpretation of reality is achieved through balanced dialogue surrealism and the metaphysical. MEAR ONE helps us envision the sublime spirit of our time - not by escaping reality, but by confronting it head on.

Archival footage from my live art performance titled ARE YOU READY TO DIE FOR YOUR COUNTRY at Coachella 2010. Julian Assange had just published “Collateral Murder” on WikiLeaks against the backdrop of a world already in turmoil. From the global financial crisis to the Gaza War, when you take a moment to realize what is really going on you’ll see that the propaganda has fooled so many for so long it’s now playing itself on repeat. War has come to our lives on every level brining division & apathy. Pill-popping culture & BBL boob jobs will have us all partying till the chickens come home to roost. Meanwhile innocence & youth are about to be uprooted, ripped away from those they love for endless wars poorly constructed by the few to fool the unsuspecting. The premise of a mass conspiracy is being laid out; our challenge is to overcome the conditioning of our consciousness & flow in a constant state of awakening, immersed in a world of lies. Before we sacrifice a generation on a meaningless, dishonest war we must question all sides in order to find the center.

At 2:44, it looks to me like a giant snake eating a person from the head first, and below at 2:48, at the base of the two rocks i see two faces/heads looking to the right, the lager one has a elongated head with a spit going through the top of the forehead', & i also see a smaller snake in front of the two faces, curling around the side of the rock to look at them ?
