As a Nurse Practitioner I LOVE YOU for putting lung safety and eye and skin safety FIRST!!!!! THANK YOU for reminding those amazing Parents out there that love to do crafts with their kids that THIS is probably not one of the BEST ones to do. I AM SO GRATEFUL…..If I had a nickel for how many times I have had a Toddler come in to the ED with Respiratory issues and the parent can NOT figure out WHAT they could have “gotten into”…..I saw her earrings and knew RIGHT AWAY she did epoxy & Resin crafting…..I asked her if she cleaned up well and wore a mask as well as WHERE does she do her crafts…..yep…..IN THE HOUSE IN HER “CRAFT ROOM” 🤦🏼‍♀️. Not anymore she doesn’t. Little one was ok but he will most likely end up with some allergic issues to these things down the line according to the Ped’s On Call Doc. I did suggest a ventilation machine of some kind and one of the RN’s said she uses a Nail particle air “cleaner” as she put it…..however, unless it is HEPA with a new filter put in after “?” Hours of use, then it is no use so a face respirator AND doing this OUTSIDE is the best idea if possible. So, good call and THANK YOU for reminding Parents about SAFETY for them and their LITTLE’S!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
