I created this channel simply to share a hobby of mine; that being demonstrating some basic experiments with inexpensive consumer grade wind turbines and related equipment. Over the last year I've grown and branched out a little into some "not so inexpensive" equipment, as well as playing with some of my other hobbies. I hope my viewers, those who came for the cheap wind turbine tinkerings, don't mind the occasional expensive turbine and motorcycle or any of my other toys I hope to show off. It's all meant to be fun, they're all my toys, and I hope everyone who watches enjoys what I do!

Por experiencia aprendí que el tamaño de las aspas es sumamente importante, sin carga alguna puede que gire, pero al generarle carga se bloqueará el rotor causando resistencia. No habrá suficiente brisa que saque a esas aspas de su punto muerto. En conclusión monta unas aspas que generen bastante torque
Esa configuración original a baja velocidad genera cerca de 50 voltios 4 amperes.. ya hice la prueba y preferí no cambiar nada por los momentos, la otra parte complicada es que el bobinado es de aluminio y delicado de empalmar. Cambiaría la configuración si deseo más amperios.. pero sacrificaría considerablemente la velocidad porque debería aumentar significativamente.

I bought these filters for the same reason and noticed it didnt fit quite right. So i took the eraser end of a pencil to the inside of the filter, popped the lens out and used a razor blade to keep the glue attached to the lens and just placed it over my camera lens. I only wanted the CPL filter so no need to switch filters. Now my drone has permanent sunglasses.....until I decide to take it off.

I have an Istafreeze wind turbine .It only runs if it is put on free first. When the wind dies down and it stops when the wind picks up again it does not start back onits own.Can you also tell me how many amps the turbine is capable of producing ? A

TIP: ebay kleinanzeigen "windturbinen bastler" (kontakt) UND probiert mal die günstigen china windmühlen ABER 1. mit 6,8 oder 10 blättern ! statt 3 oder 5 ... für schwachwindgebiete viel besser UND 2. keine 12 volt version sondern eine 48 volt version ... die dann auf einen A) BRÜCKENGLEICHRICHTER und B) auf einen MPPT SOLAR LADEREGLER !!! mit eienr 48v 800w turbine und 6 flügeln kommt man schon bei ganz wenig wind auf mind. 10-20 watt und ab da gehts ruckartig aufwärts ;)

Hey! Had a question, I’m making my own wind turbine with my pops as a fun project. I’m using 3d printing to help design and build a prototype. During my designing phase, I ran into a question which is, does the blade hub size effect rotation force? Furthermore, does the radius of the wing blades affect rotation speed? I would like to know if theirs a system for figuring out the right dimensions for a given wind turbine. The goal in mind to charge a 6v battery.
Speaking very, VERY generally: 1. The hub is dead weight. It does not catch wind, it only creates drag and turbulence. You want the hub to have as small a footprint as possible, preferably no larger than the nacelle/stator housing. 2. Assuming all other things remain the same, the larger the rotor diameter, the slower it will spin. There are ways to make large rotors spin fast and ways to make small rotors spin slowly, but if the only change is the expansion of the size of the rotor then it will turn more slowly. There are actually are ways to calculate the correct size of rotor, but once you start getting into that math the math starts getting REALLY deep. kdwindturbines.nl is a great place to start, Kragden is a tremendous resource on what math to do. He's also very kind and happy to help people on their journey but heads up...he will answer your questions as if you are an intellectual equal. Sometimes I know what he's talking about, sometimes I have to spend more time learning the principals he's explaining to me than the actual answer I was looking for. For a small project, though, I highly recommend learning some basics and winging it. I feel that most of this stuff is best learned in action.
I think you need to venture into high-voltage wind turbines. The benefit is the cost of the wiring and the cost of the control circuits. The downfall is the step down transformer. My step town transformer did cost me an extra $400. But I do believe I will save that in the size of the wiring.
I'm actually sitting on a 400vac iSta Breeze Heli 4.0 so I will be dealing with some higher voltage stuff shortly.

The book that came with my Air403 from South West wind power, say a turbine shall be 8 meters or 26.25 feet above the highest point of everything within 150 meters or 492 feet. Including houses, trees and other stuff.
Regular dielectric grease will work on the wires/terminals. My buddies and I started using it on our boats (salt water) and we never had corrosion so now I use it on all batteries.

The magnets need to be much more evenly spaced on the larger rotor. A good way to tell if you have a good alternator, is to measure the DC resistance from leg to leg, and compare that with the voltage per 100 RPM of speed. Less resistance, more voltage at a given RPM = GOOD! Amperage is what heats up stator windings. Take the resistance reading from the stator windings, divide it by 1.7320508, (the square root of 3) then, multiply it by the rectified current squared, and that will tell you how many watts is being lost as heat within the stator. (P=IR^2)
