We reached the beautiful and less touristy pattipola village from Kandy.
We cycled through Patipola-Ambewala regions in central highlands of Sri Lanka and the landscape was breathtaking😍. It was drizzling from the morning and the atmosphere was so foggy and we were confused whether to go or not. We took the chance and it turned out as one of the best days of our travel.
We were awed by the greenery and natural beauty of this region. We never imagined Sri Lanka to be this green. The location, Pattipola, is an offbeat travel destination in the popular Kandy-Ella rail route. Pattipola is located at an altitude of 6200 feet and has the highest located railway station in Sri Lanka. The village is close to Horton plains national park and offers a lot of hiking options such as world's end trail, devil's staircase viewpoint etc. You can also explore the nearby attractions on a cycle as we did. This village is an ideal location for those who love to be near nature and looking for a place without many tourists.

We reached Kandy from Colombo. Kandy is a traveler's paradise. We visited the scary Ambuluwawa tower and the temple of tooth. Both were really great experiences. After spending just 1 day in this beautiful city, we had to leave for our next destination-Pattipola.
