The Gathering Room: Your Genius is Calling
Did you know you were born a creative genius?
All of us are, Martha says, but we are socialized out of our genius by the structures of culture. Why? Because the culture wants everyone the same, but genius doesn’t homogenize well.
However, your genius is still calling to you, and in this episode of The Gathering Room, Martha shares how you can recognize-and follow-its call.
She says your genius will have three main characteristics:
1. It hides in plain sight-it’s the thing that for you is so easy you think surely anyone could do it. (Spoiler alert: They can’t!)
2. It makes you curious. When you see something that’s related to your genius, you perk up and go ""Hmm…” If it makes you curious, your mind is already shaping itself around that activity.
3. It makes you feel something called the “rage to master” where you not only feel curiosity, you feel an ache in your heart that says, ""Oh, if only I could do that!"" If it’s aligned with your genius, you’ll get the “ignition message” to begin doing that thing.
Martha says that when something that's connected to your genius pulls you in and won't stop pulling you in, the worst thing you can do is decide that the time for you to do that thing has passed-because it is never too late.
Sometimes it's an inspiration, sometimes it's a state of consciousness, sometimes it's a way of healing, sometimes it can't be even seen.
“Anything can be part of your genius,” Martha says. “Just go for it!”

I think you'd appreciate this. I was listening to your show and realized as I was driving on the interstate that I was out of gas and almost empty, but I made it to the gas station just in time.😅
From the book flow it says most people are not autolectic, meaning in the moment they always have a goal they're like irritating chasing sheep they can't even decide where to park by themselves you park in an empty lot and they creep you out and Park right next to you and then they stare at you all the way out they'll make you close your door if you're in your car just Park right next to you. Then lately I tried on internet to search whose quote is this. While listening this podocast on genius Michael Jackson came to my mind and she has mentioned it in this video. Other talent came to mymind was Marylin Monroe. while listening this I remembered that J Krishnamurthy had spoken on same thing and in the process of searching that JK talk, I got JK Rowling in the search who is the best example for this video. Financial independence has become the recent trend, but it is probably pushed by establishments to get the people engaged in more workaholics like machines. The very idea of seeking financial independence also points out that the individual is fearful of his society, future, insecure and hopeless. Otherwise in earlier period where financial independence was not known term to people then very very few people were having that drive of being entrepreneur and used to solve the bigger problems of world and brought huge change in people's life and masses got the benefit of it then onwards. However, genius or passion may or may not bring wealth, but society, schools and parents simply discards life of people's talent with the absence of having money. This leads people to become rich by hook or crook. If you manifest monkeys 100 times, how often do they show up? If you ask them to leave 100 times, how often do they leave? For instance I was sitting on a pier and a lady and her grandson came along and she needed to know if I'm camping alone and where I'm camping but she only gave the general area of where she's at and made it sound like she lived up here or at each and every work situation they need to know if I live alone and where I live
Do you have a show teaching us about how to have a cultural cover story I don't want my soft spots exposed right away till I understand that someone has a positive or loving nature to them I don't know why they feel they need to know where you live and if you live alone that makes one vulnerable

Serendipity…just this morning my knees were in so much pain & I said how grateful I am for them & sent love & healing to them & I’ve been able to walk a lot pain free or just a little pain. ya your allowed to talk about kids at work now...yet I feel odd man out still for the assumptions by this generation, you are told your old and asked if you have children? The muslim community at work wants to know my age if I am retired and asked me to bring pictures of myself younger because I must have been beautiful then , what! why is this respect for differences only required by usa citizens?

Please - may I ask that you increase the volume of your CZcams vids? I can hear you but it's quite low compared to other videos I watch and I'm unable to increase the volume of my computer any further. SO when my Air Conditioner turns on, it drowns out your voice, especially during the meditation. And yes, my computer is at full volume and there's nothing more I can do to increase the volume of your videos. I'm such a huge fan and you've helped me so much throughout the years. Regarding getting a headache when imagining the space between your eyes: headache or eye ache? I find that as I close my eyes and try to imagine the space between them, my eyes instinctively converge to a painful extreme--as if they're trying to actually *look at* that space! With my eyes open, they go unfocused but don't cross nearly as far, and that doesn't hurt.
