I like my altrider crash bars. Tip overs in the trail did their job. Agree the support is in the way of foot placement like you said. Feel they are good and soon keep the support bar for strength. I dented by altrider skid plate enough to dent my oil filter. Really thinking on bagging the lower altrider protection and go with a B&B Dakar bash plate.

Agreed. Those mid-bars are flawed and look like azz.

You didnt bleed the coolant system and that extra wire you got was a y distributor which manually turns the power off so that you dont have the temperature gauge draw power from your battery and kill it over time

I'm going to go look at an 07 xcf250 here in a couple of days, it's a choice between that and an 86 xr250. I know the KTM is my first choice because of performance but I know I'll miss not having the xr lol

So weird that you are reviewing this road, I live by the light at the top of the switchbacks but I go up and down pv east every day, the craziest road at night when the performance vehicles (miattas to porsches )

Hello, I have the same bike and also want to install a fan kit, I noticed and open connector under the tank, couldn't you plug the fan in there rather than going back to the battery?

I have a 90 XLR250R, exclusive Japan market bike, a midway between the R and the L with all the lights but no battery, same cams as the R, adjustable carb needle but smaller headers and exhaust. I allready do gordon mods. Step up from a 118 main to a 126 and to 38 to 42 pilot. super quick response, no bog, nice old machine to ride. Wow that was a heart stopper!! I can totally relate to everything she's going through as I was at that same place not too long ago. I can also relate to losing motivation to make new videos, that's much harder to overcome.

I appreciate the "how to hillclimb" part of the video. It might be a while before I can get out to try it, but you never know.
