Everyone says ‘light weight’., so why can’t I find a single site that specs the actual weight of this guitar? Why do they hide it?

By far this is the best review I have seen for this guitar. I was going to get the new version of it, as a 7s player what disappointed me was the scale length, Ibanez did standard on 7s, the 7th string tends to get muddy.

Just waiting for Ibanez to slap a trem on it... And they'd probably have to make the body a little thicker. The zero fret and the odd neck profile on Strandbergs helps me not care about how expensive they are.

Mine sounds great with a few upgrades.........now if it wasn't so damned heavy.

I wouldn't call that a clean channel, my CST24 is just like yours and stock. Clean it sounds crystal clear.

Thanks for the review! How is the Intonation on the 21st. to the 24th. frets? I play the whole Guitar most of the time and it's important that the higher frets/notes are clear and in tune...Other than that, I like the guitar...24 frets...Where can i get one?

Who knows whether the neck is really torrefied. They call it caramelized. That can mean everything. But it's a nice instrument if you get one that's not too heavy or don't mind the weight. Mine weighs about 3.8 kg.

Are these sold at any stores in Milwaukee, WI where I can try one out?

I love mine ! It's the identical guitar to the SE CE 24 has a mahogany body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard with the same hardware and electronics...the ONLY difference is the mahogany body does not have the glossy maple veneer top. Also keep in mind it's $200 less !!! I have the vintage cherry red. It's incredibly resonant...

I hear some VH 5150 tone in that bridge pickup when overdriven!

Looks and sounds great. I dig the matte finish as well, though that particular color is not my jam, it certainly wouldn't be my first choice. Seems like really great value at that price point. Kind of a shame no stainless steel frets as those are getting more and more popular on lower priced guitars.

Great video! Definitely spot on with all you mentioned about this guitar. Not joking, I tried one of these at GC a week ago. I had to check the price tag 3 times at least, thinking it was a used price at first. I couldn’t believe how well it played, felt, and sounded!! Definitely rivals guitars 4x its price. I will definitely be grabbing one asap!

So silly that they don’t use locking tuners. It’s not that expensive to do.

Nice piece! I love Seymour duncan pick ups those sound great. The locking tuner's add extra stability to the string on the other side of the locking nut. They prevent accidental turning of the tuning keys which loosens the string on the backside of the locking nut. I think I want one.

A few things: tom morello plays solos?! 2. The unforgiven for me is one of the best Kirk's solo. 3. For me comfortably numb solo is quite overrated. Time's solo is pure gold. 4. Rhoads crazy train is overrated.

Just traded for this guitar. Well made the weight was an issue. I hollowed under the pick guard made it manageable and still strong. It’s a keeper

You got those positions backwards, bud.. Position 1 is bridge, and position 5 is neck.

This guitar is advertised as a les paul with Coil Split, not Coil Tap. 2 entirely different things

PRS is always has more chime, and clean sound with articulate notes very hard to miss. For the dirty the Epiphone is the king, The powerhouse for metal is the CST-24T sounds like it is always in overdrive. I own the CST-24, great guitar, one of my favorite since I can't afford the PRS, or the SE. Only thing I changed out on the HB CST-24T was the tuners they suck. Everything else was surprising good. The frets are stainless steel even PRS doesn't put those on, that would be my big grip for a 4K or more guitar. Les Paul and Fender don't either, and they are very expense as well for the custom shop. I have a custom shawbuker strat I paid quite a bit for about 10 years ago, I still wish I would have put the money into a PRS. The scale and play ability is just second to none. The HB CST-24 feels about the same in the neck and fret space, the weight is a huge difference, the PRS is much lighter, for an older man like me. I am thinking about switching out next year and getting rid of my strat and get a PRS CORE. Well I can always dream. IF you don't have the money for a PRS you won't go wrong with the CST-24T
