Hi E... Tks .. Like many.. I cheat. Liking a "2min. full recharge" battery swapping... So bike wiring's all unchanged. Actually bought 3x same battery when new so I have a small inventory to juggle.. OK.. In truth for longer trips "some days" I can wire on 2x in parallel to double the AHs.. Most days I'm short range so lazy and appreciate the lighter weight accelerations from stops torque numbers of having just one LiFePO4 48V10Ah battery from my inventory. ;) cheers Just a lazy guy bribing a local auto mechanic to make/maintain as fixed monthly subscription for care and feeding my rides.

I'm contemplating just getting a 2nd Himiway Zebra bike while on sale. That way i can ride with the Mrs or if on my own just put the extra battery on the carrier if going longer distances. Thanks for showing us another way though.

Thanks for this video. Velotric is such a customer-hostile company. Just purchased a Summit 1 and these idiots made it so you can't even swap out the junk headlight they put on the bike. They used a 2 pin YLS signal connector rather than the industry standard red HiGo connector. The just want $$$

Interesting project of placing the second battery in parallel with the original. Is there any real advantage to this modification as opposed to just carrying the second battery in a battery bag (as you are doing in the video) and simply swapping batteries as one gets close to depletion? Have you found a rear rack bag that can hold more than just the second battery, ie. lock, chain, spare tube and repair kit, etc. in addition to the battery?
