I loved MASH but it turned into the Alan Alda show
Flag wouldn't survive in the real world. He would be crying in the corner. He would hate me. I would make his life miserable. 😂
Thank you for including the version of these clips WITHOUT THAT ANNOYING LAUGH TRACK, btw. (It should also be noted that none of them were inside the operating room, either.)
When I was young,I watched this. What the Martian said to Hudson on how to live, has always stuck with me.
There's only one episode I won't watch,"Sometimes you Hear the Bullet".
So did I. 😊😊
This movie was bizzar I remember it from the lat 70s.
Up sir! Best line ever.😅
I was about 12 when this came on tv. I can still remember when the they killed off my favorite Spider Man actor!! I was devastated! I still am...... Damn Martians! 👽
Spam Lamb. Shame there wasn't the Frank Burns eats worms.
1982-1983 ... I was 12-ish. I remember my JH science teacher playing this in class for "science". Better than a POP Quiz...
Not forgotten at all in my view. I have a copy of it. It is a bit dated now but I still think it was one of the most atmospheric series made. I think those Martians could teach us a lot.
Me & my wife watched this religiously, was on TV on a Friday night, this was February 1983, my wife was heavily pregnant at the time, we switched the TV on for the final episode, 10 minutes in she went into labour, my daughter was born the following evening, never got to see the final episode & I've never seen it TV since😮
Sorry, but this was poor when it came out and just looks silly now. I am not a big fan of Bradbury in any case. I like real science fiction and Bradbury is just a bad poet who dresses his banal message (let's be nice!) in sci-fi clothing.
Radar and Col Potter are my favorite characters
Mars no air or water.
I remember this being unrelentingly downbeat, like a lot of 80’s sci-fi.
I recall watching this as a 14 year old in 1982 on a Saturday night. I absolutely loved it. Quite atmospheric and poetic.
I wish I had seen this when it first aired. Just discovered it today, and it tracks well with Ray Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles," which I did read. A hybrid of sci-fi and fantasy, with a lot of metaphor thrown in.
the intro music by stanley myers is hauntingly beautiful and sad.
Why not read the novel by Ray Bradbury first?
I remember the scene at the beginning, where a Martian is sitting in his home. “listening to his book.” I remember how strange that sounded in 1980. Today, it sounds no stranger than “looking at pictures on his phone.”
I remember watching this as a kid, and thinking it was frightening, sad, and tragic with an intriguing ending, I think this is long overdue for a remake
Seems gravity and atmosphere is the same as here
I own this and finally got to see it properly since when NBC originally aired it they somehow managed to show part 3 before part 2,and it made no sense. How,it was only 3 parts, how can they mess that up?It's a bit uneven though as a series, and Ray Bradbury, who wrote it said the series was boring.
i thought it was "loose change" that nbc goofed on by showing part 3 before part 2, john belushi made a crack about it on SNL.
The only thing wrong with the film is it last 5 or 6 hours. You got to watch the whole thing to get anything out of it.
That series utterly blew dead bears it's like anti scifi!
I remember this crap as being incredibly lame and boring. It was confusing. Slow. Had no space stuff no lasers. No androids. Just a confusing long mess. I literally HATED it.
You are not very bright. You are an immature child!!!!!!!!
i have this movie set - still brilliant in a wierd way
I liked also when hawkeye got into a tiff with radar over hawks scruples
I liked the scene when mulcahy got into it with b j over a dying soldier on the operating table b.j so tried to save him with the priest tried to speak his last rites
I remember this as a kid. It was so strange and dreamlike.
" You called a 1 star General a nimcompac?"
i have always found the early eps to be the funniest. the humor all changed when henry blaked left and was killed over the sea of japan..
Little known fact about radar, he has a deformed left hand that he keeps covered up as much as possible, you can sometimes catch a quick glimpse of his very tiny fingers. He’s always holding a clipboard or something. Hand in pocket etc.. I love him so much and he’s one of the best drummers to live!
Lost In Space(I caught it in syndication, 1978), I still love it, that Robot B9!
😊
these scene where Magaret does cry about a dog, she has feed secretly about weeks and later he was coming under one jeep was amazing, especially for all, who loose a pet, and same so the scene where Charles Emmerson Winchester does feel mourning about some chinese prisoners, musicians, where he break his gramophon, vinyl record
Isn't it ironic how a show about the fragility of human life, the pointless ness of war and with an intro track called "Suicide is painless", can make you laugh. That's the beauty of M.A.S.H. and why it stood the test of time. Although for me the best years of the show were from Season 6 onwards, after Charles came into the show.
The women finally turning on their false God is one of the most powerful sci-fi movie scenes of the 60s.
マッシュは高校の頃3部作全て読んだ。スワンプのシーンは秀逸。ホットリップスの髪型が女学生みたいでちょっとね。 ともかくこの破天荒が許されるのは才能があるからなのだとよく分かった。
I remember watching this as a kid, I think it was broadcast on BBC 1
This is my favorite part lol
Margaret: isn’t that Frank’s bag? Trapper: I thought YOU were Frank’s bag. Plain savage 😆 … Frank: Sir, I think the Chinese have captured Major Houlihan! Col. Potter: I see, so naturally you shot Captain Hunnicut. 😆
Flagg was my favourite😊
I HAVE WAITED SOOO LONG FOR THESE!!!!
best showever
Soldier, you forgot your purse.😂😂😂
There’s a lot to like in this mini series, & I find myself returning to it again and again. The aliens are suitably mysterious, there’s a strong cast & the sets & locations all work well. Despite being made in 1980, it still feels like a very 70s production, not that that’s a bad thing. Rock Hudson is a bit stiff at times as Wilder, but he really is the key character to the whole storyline. Thanks for posting.👍
It was made in the 70s.
Never watched one episode of this show. I obviously missed out on a great show.
