I want to close my platinum card but they Just increased it to 2,600 from $600. The card has no rewards. It would be nice to move my credit from my platinum to my savor one and close the platinum for good.

Evergreen has people complaining on Reddit that they give you huge credit lines then knock it down to something truly insulting like $500 or close the account later if you don't always have them "top of the wallet". I don't want to burn a hard pull getting faked out by a card that gets jealous of me "seeing other banks".

If you have a credit card for your business, you should only spend what you can pay off… otherwise you arnt earning rewards if you pay interest it negates the profit. So pay debit or pay off ur statement balance

Synchrony will close your accounts if two payments are returned in a 12 month calendar year. Discover will also close your account if some other account goes into collection or if an account becomes charged off. The worst part is, they will want you to pay the charged off account down to zero while maintaining good payment history with Discover. It’s a double edge sword.

Maybe the authorized user had an unacceptable credit score. Total exposure is a major factor, but it's probably in combination with other criteria. I usually lower all my credit limits to $5K. $5K in one purchase is a lot for me. Score is in the 800s.

Hi I just received the we can’t offer you any prequalified cards at that this time rejection. I’ve been getting rejected since 2018 the last time I had an Amex. I paid it off after they shut down my green card and then subsequently my delta card. They offered a new card with a small limit and my accountant said to decline so I did. And now I cannot get approved but have been approved since then for a new Citi Premier card.

Techincally with amex can’t you get pre-qualified but then also get a soft pull until you accept it? Or does it not work like that

I never had issues with them, they keep offering me new cards and new credit limits.

All these medical bill examples. Medical bills do not accrue interest and are negotiable. We owed 10k after insurance. We worked out a deal to pay $50 a week for 3 years. No ding to credit, It was affordable, and it wasn't close to 10k. You should always negotiate with the office on every major bill and get it in writing.
