MY first watching this I cannot understand at first and my second attempt to watch this now I understand what is alternating current and how it works

I don't understand how a Series Circuit with (1) 1.5V Battery (2) 2 Lamps, turn out to have 0.75V when measured across one lamp. That is, when the electrons reach the first lamp, and they are flowing at a particular rate, wouldn't they all just pass through the first lamp, hence, measuring 1.5V for the first lamp ? (Same for the second lamp) Can EE student help explain please : (

As an HVAC guy, I couldn't help but notice the coil inside the breaker acts very much in the same way as a starting current relay on small refrigeration compressors... And as far as I've been taught, the only electrical component that is designed for people's safety is the ground fault circuit interruptor. Everything else is just to protect equipment components and wiring.

Since you asked, no I don’t want to live near one or see any of these anywhere. In my view they are worthless a high percentage of the time like solar panels neither can produce reliable energy 24/7. Our civilization requires reliable cheap energy not this worthless junk that cost a fortune to put into service etc. I’d prefer we continue to work on other forms of energy like nuclear and other forms that produce energy without killing birds. If we don’t wipe ourselves out we will find a way to produce power that doesn’t destroy the landscape and screw our large ocean friends.

So, in dumb-arse language (my native tongue), 3-phase is more reliable power for big devices, yes? I've played in many bands where the venue had 3-phase outlets, but we didn't have a suitable plug, so we had to go into the normal wall powerpoints. On one occasion the old Par-58 lights drew so much power that everything on stage cut out. We had to go from six lights to two and turn everything down. At the end of the gig, the manager said, "Next time, bring a 3-phase box. You won't have this problem ever again." We did, and he was right.

Nooo, it is not a fuse, its a resistor, so the voltage over the resistor is depending from the current flows through! 🤷‍♂️
