Something that astounds us when traveling around Thailand is the amount of investment going into the infrastructure. The WiFi has been down here at home for 3 days. No problem. Got by using the phones as hotspots for our laptops. The work that goes into the candle procession is massive. They look absolutely stunning. Nice video Dave.

It a shame you guys where not feeling to great! However it looks like you made the most of it, it does look like great place to go and experience the workman ship is something else, I am surprised the wax does not melt during the afternoon parade at 30 degrees. I love getting a foot massage after walking about for hours and well worth the money for what they cost!😊

Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts. I met my wife in udon 20 years ago and we are making our final trip back to Thailand in September to retire and see all the sights you have shared. Wishing you guys health and happiness.

We had some spare time to kill in Ubon Ratchathani so popped into this river bank Temple, you can see how much the river grows and floods the area in one of the photos. 😃👍🏻

Looks like a nice place to stay Dave, the pool looked inviting too! I wish Bee could swim but is a little afraid of the water after nearly drowning when she was young. What a shame with the flooding they have experience, the owner must be a little reluctant to invest money into the renovation of the cottages if the flooding is a yearly problem! Have flood defences been put in place, did they say? Or whether the flooding was just a one off freak storm?

A nice hotel if your staying in Ubon Ratchathani area, The Ubon Buri Resort, large grounds decent size swimming pool and two nights cost us ฿2,800. Breakfast was brought to the room each morning just pick from a menu at reception for the following morning 😃

Nice spot buddy, pool looked good, what do you need to cool down, problem when its low season is a lot of the outside bar etc are closed as not enough people about, looked nice at night with the lights on, breakfast in bed, you can still eat eggs and meat anywhere, im still on it, apart from the Saturday treat last week

Looks very nice Dave. Always worth doing a review of any hotel that you stay in as so many people find them useful. The search function on CZcams makes videos like this a good reference point. Nice one 👍

Nice way to spend some time at the little pop up markets that you find all over Thailand.

Lovely area to visit some great accommodation right on the banks of the Mekong River. A Saturday night is not to be missed with the Traditional Thai Lady Dancers and the many stall of food etc.

What a gem of a place ,he must have some money with all that collection ,mini mokes are above £20,000 in the uk .I'm going to my wife's place in nongkhai in January. I'm having a couple of days in udon ,you have visited so many interesting places on your road trip around there I'm spoilt for choice. Thanks by the way

what a great little fin, selection of bikes, scooters and motorcycles, and a fantastic workshop, and the coffee and cake looked amazing, you never know what round the corner in thailand

We really like this place. You have that little museum that possibly belongs to someone who is quite an eccentric, then into the coffee shop and you get the feel of an old English tea room somewhere in Cornwall. You didn't show them Dave, but they have wonderful scones served with butter, jam and cream 🤤🤤🤤

Nice relaxing video Dave. My wife’s farm and family is about an hour SE of Udon Thani I’ve learned a lot over the years watching the process sugarcane, rubber trees, rice etc. Thanks for sharing. Hats off to the Mango Slayer.

Was there last night, and it is even bigger now with more food stores, getting better all the time, could not help buying the crispy pork to go with a fresh salad.

Love this place and it is thriving. We were there last night with Dave and Oat.
