You can take a qtip and clean them when you take it apart to grease up but it's not something that's required in saltwater use

You know I've used a billed helmet or a hat under the helmet for over 3 year and I've never jacked up my neck. But I also don't fall head first into the water so maybe idk? (really shouldn't be swan diving off an efoil headfirst to the foil).

Series 1 Fliteboard's in 2020 were pretty lound as they didnt have the extra damping seals that the new 2024 efoils have. Wavestorm style foam boards absolutely will get scratched/torn up or just legit broken in half plenty of images on line showing this. Plus if you are concerned with scratches and dings and keeping your board visually perfect, Fiberglass/carbon can be sanded and re-glassed super easily, Foam boards are not repairable using PU or Epoxy.

FYI efoil Solution's shop is located Hawai'i. Shipping from Oahu it the mainland is not cheap. If you have access to a 3d printer you can get the .stl files and DIY it for only $10.

That's a bummer about not being able to ride your Flite, but it is a private lake so you have to follow their rules. It's hard to say what ride time you'll get as there are lot's of factors other than your weight that dictate your ride time (speed, water conditions, wing selection, # of falls in your session ect). As far as noticable differences between brands for a beginner it's hard to tell as it all a new sensation, but when you have 100's hours logged things like weight difference, mast height, and motor placement are VERY noticeable. Their 7k plus a flite board has an aircraft grade aluminum mast, a huge lithium ion battery with titanium housing and BMS and there is GPS with a interconnected app to track your speed, distance, location, and wave count.

The folder prop is nice for wave riding but ultimately doesn't feel great for regular flat water riding. Luckily it's super easy to change the prop on a fliteboard for the conditions you're riding in

Never heard of them, looks cool german engineering. There are alot of brands in the efoil game now. I'll have to make another video at the end of the year.

The prices have come down alot in the past 2 years. You can get a full set up for 7k and it's a different kind of rush compared to a boat. Sure for that price you can get a boat but Efoils are not boat replacements they offer a different sensation. Plus boats are holes on the water you throw money into. A 10k boat will cost another 10k in 5 years of ownership factoring maintenance gas registration and slip fees easily

Dang that is a bummer, it sounds like that person has some other issues going on to not hook up a fellow efoiler. I don't know the Lift scene in Florida but I know multiple Flite partners out there that would hook you up. It's always a pleasure to take out experienced riders, its a nice break from beginner lessons. If you're ever out in SF hit us up.

Learning to safely ride and efoil and manuver it properly takes a few hours. Learning to operate a jetski takes a few minutes. Also normal part of learning to efoil involves falling in the water that is not the case with learning to ride a jetski. They have different learning curves and expectations of how the operator can get injured. Like skateboard crashes vs car crashes. You can die doing either thing but in general part of skating means you'll fall. Some drivers never get in a car crash in their entire driving history.

Efoils can go very fast, they are heavy, and carbon fiber wing tips can be very sharp. Especially if you've never surfed or foiled before it's very easy for a beginner to fall on the board and get hurt.

The big deal is the flite's efoil and battery technology is superior to lift and waydoo which in the past justified their higher price point, but now you can get the safest and highest performance efoil on the market for less than the other brands (at least in the USA). A Fliteboard is plug and play efoil that doesn't require app registration via cryptic instructions, you put the battery in connect the two leads and its ready to go. Also flite has never had any batteries catch on fire, can't say the same for lift or waydoo.

That's a toxic response friend, we enjoy all brands and want to celebrate all efoiling. Personally we choose to sell the brand that put safety above all else, efoils are dangerous enough as they are heavy and fast the last thing you want to add on that is thermal runaway or ESC failures. Sure direct drive motors are louder but they are more powerful but its a small thing compared to the issues other brands deal with.

I have not yet, but weight and performance it will be inline with the fiberglass range.

The cool thing about science and math is it doesn't care about your opinions about it. I studied astrophysics in college but on youtube it's dumbed down "bro science" as you call it because if I sat here and did fluid dynamics math nobody would watch. 😂 Normally I dont do this as i dont need to justify myself on the internet but: I've been surfing since I was 7, I'm a L3 ACA paddle board instructor, I still surf, sup surf, and foil surf west coast winter overhead beach breaks with no issues. My dad was a c5 ww guide I've done lots of rafting since I was a kid. On top of efoiling ive done 7+ mile 30kt downwinders under the golden gate bridge, i gone out efoil surfing in Santa Cruz and I can land a jump and get 180 wing tip breach turns. Pretty sure the 60° safety cut off was patched out multiple controller updates ago, but you're right this this one was a wipeout. I've got 600 over hours of rides, and going thru my sessions for high angle turns to show people on the internet it not really high on my priority. If you want to see some real gnarly turns check out Justin chait's channel I know he track he's sessions better than I do.

With an efoil you pay 15k once and that's it. No gas, insurance, slip fees, or maintenance plus you don't need tow package truck to haul it. In the long run it so much cheaper and easier than owning, you'll have way more fun than you would with a 15k boat. If you're ever in San Francisco hit us up I'll take you for a test drive.

We tested that wing, it lets you go faster but its way harder to get off the water foiling. It really increases the drag when trying to take off

Tested with the flow 1100 and 1300 with the 245 shim not really that fun. They negative shims work better with smaller foils. The flow 900 is probably the best to use woth negative shims to get that super loose feel

Looking for that snowboard style carving I have the 1500w what wing do you all recommend for that on the air pro? Ok with slower speeds don’t need to set top speed runs.

Yes we were using the -5 on all wing set up for the most effect but I wouldn't reccommend for your first go. Definitely ease into it.

LOL cinematic on a mavic 3 not fast enough to keep keep up with a fliteboard. Only sport mode is fast enough and has to be piloted manually with no object avoidance, over the water. Not so easy

So loud motor or efoil with outdated battery tech that is prone to fires... we'll stick with the loud motor.

@@BayFoils Very true, but I will say that I had a bad battery from Lift and they do have excellent customer service which is top notch and they sent me a replacement.
