I am on the app and it shows there are trains. If not you can get a bus for about the same price as a train about 3 euros each way.. Use the Trainline app for busses. There may be others but I know Trainline works well.

Here is another video with some more details about the bike ride that may help you. The ride is towards the end. I have taken this bike ride 10 or more times and everytime it is great. A couple of times we did stop at the catacombs as you ride past at least 2 of them on the ride. Very easy to stop just make sure you lock the bikes up very good as they are not cheap to replace. When you get the bikes they will give you locks to use. They have bikes of all sizes but I would assume also e-bikes but sorry I just don't know for sure. You can also visit the Baths as you also ride past them. The ride takes about 2 hours of riding and then whatever additional time for stops, eating, pictures, and all the other stuff so just plan for all of that. The bikes come with a very good phone mount that makes it easy to view the gps from your phone. just remember to bring a battery backup so you can charge phone if needed. Have a great trip! When you purchase your tickets there is the basic entry and additional options one that includes the underground I think for an extra 5 euros. I think it is worth it. If a guided tour is in. your budget you will get more out of your visit. have a great time!

Kids 10 and under are free. Everyone else will need their own device (phone, smart watch) The same card can be one multiple devices. Everyone need their own devise. Also an ATM card with "touch" will also work. If that does not work you will need to purchase paper tickets

OK I had to look up the location. If it is the Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, yah that is a bit out of the way. You can use a taxi however to get around but metro, busses or waking are a bit of a challenge. The hotel look wonderful but when I think you are there to see the city and not relax at the pool and spa? Although that does sound goog. Arn't you going on a cruise from Rome? If you are there will be plenty of time to relax on the boat. May i suggest you look into Hotel Santa Maria in Trastevere. It is a boutique hotel that I think you will really like if still available. Give that a try and if they are full let me know and i can refer additional options for you. All the best!

Well the good news is you do end up staying there you are very close to one of the best gelaterias in Rome called Come il Latte and one of my favorite pizzerias called Pinsera. As for your questions yes it is a bit removed from most things. I would not cancel until you secure a better option but if I were you moving closer to the center would be better. Getting something near Largo Argentina or Monti neighborhoods or Campo D'Fiori, even Piazza Navona would be better. Best of luck and have a great trip! 90% just when you get on but there are a few stations on the blue line that you need to tap to get turn style to let you out. It seem like it would be all or none but just the way in is in Rome

Aslo just fyi the tap & go are at the front of the bus so better to enter in the front when busses are full. Maybe they will add them to the back too one day or maybe there are some but I have not seen any in back yet.

I would not recommend taking a taxi from Rome to Naples but you can if you are willing to pay. It will cost around 400 euros if you can get a driver to accept. He may want you to also pay for him to get back to Rome, maybe another 200 euros. High speed rail is much faster and better. The FREEnow app is also used in Naples as in most larger cities in Italy.

It started out that way but now they pretty much don't do anything even if you are a man. They kinda look the other way since there is rarely violence.. So we need to prevent it ourselves by being a bit smarter then the other tourists. You do not have to outrun a lion you just need to be faster then the other guy.

All months are good but Jan can be a bit cold. It is the slowest month of the year for sure. Feb is still not busy but the weather tends to improve some. Fist 2 weeks in December are also great. March is a bit busier but also nice. Avoid May -mid Oct if you do not like crowds

I hope you have a great time! The maps in the guide book I think will be very helpful to you when completed. Just saying. The center of Rome has not changed much over the decades. The historical area has actually gotten cleaner and buildings are in good shape. However there is graffiti I do not think was there 40 years ago.

We booked a hotel over by Pizza Florida, Argo Argentine, which seems like a decent location. Now, you know we're gonna grab ourselves some of that pizza. 🍕 😅

Pizza Florida is a take-a-way place but it is SO good located right at Largo Argentina. If you end up getting the RomeTravelGuida.com pizza places are all mapped for yuo.
