If God brings us to the place where certain people are, it must be for a reason. It's for God to decide where to plant them. It's pretty sad, but it's so common in churches. One worship leader comes, and some other people leave. We are supposed to be an example of love in the church. That's why so many people see that and don't want to come to church.

The body type thing is so superficial. Also, clearly goes against James 2:1. So many churches these days go down this weird pseudo-corporation route where everyone gets categorized based on personality types and modern psychology rather than the Word of God. Also, everyone needs to embibe the "mission statement" and "culture" or they get treated poorly. I used to attend a large church that went down a similar road. Very eye-opening. Glad you had the courage to come out about it. I went through something very similar. The gas lighting, the intimidation, the clear and direct insults, the character smear campaigns, and the workings out of that socially through their saturation into the community. The purposeful cruelty. The manipulation of the sacraments. The scapegoating. The demonization. And the explicit communication that you are of no use to God- which is what the rejection of a calling really is. I frequently have deep regrets that I didn't record all of the conversations. But going into those conversations why would I have? If you're a young well meaning minister, deeply committed to Christianity and the gospel and the Kingdom of God and your trying to work in a church and be helpful, and be mentored, why would you start recording all of your conversations with somebody? These toxic abusive behaviors are a feature not a glitch. Interestingly enough the resurrected Jesus doesn't go back to the Chief Priests and the folks wielding the executive power of the temple apparatus and offer them forgiveness. That discloses to me in part, that there's something very damning about spiritual abuse from a pastor,. There's a moral seriousness to t's effects, what it does to its victims, the possibility of repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation or change. So saddened to hear your story. For what it's worth, you exist now as the truth of the gospel. That may well be one of the lasting gifts. You are a true and credible witness.

I’m so sick of Christian so-called leaders continually using the word ‘culture’, ‘honor culture’ which really just translates to you can’t question them in any way or disagree with them in any way. 1 Peter 5:3 calls it ‘lording it over those allotted to your charge’ and is something you are not supposed to do as leaders. Jeremy came from Bethel where ‘honor culture’ is a thing, so of course you can’t disagree with him. It’s good that this and any other channels expose these people for what they are - narcissists. I’ve been a Christian for 35 years (and involved in worship) and have seen this over and over. I had a leader at one church tell me you can’t disagree with them, and when I did they said I had a demon! I left that church within 2 weeks and never looked back. (They of course disagreed with their past leaders in the church they left) Also when Jeremy Riddle is quoting Acts where it says repent that times of refreshing may come from the Lord - they were speaking to people who did not yet believe in Jesus, not Christians. It was really ironic to see Jeremy write a book during Covid called the Reset complaining about the very industry he is a key player in. Guess he couldn’t tour so he had to get some money somehow from the body of Christ.

As a worship leader myself I think where Jeremy is coming from is wanting his team to be sold out to only the purpose of "Revival " and anything else should pale in comparison, and i get the impression that Noah plays in a secular band and that is not an indicator of ministry focus,i know many Christian's play in secular bands and think it somehow glorifies God,but does not model sold out ,set apart focus on Revival

If you walk in love, you should ask Jesus to give you His divine love for Jeremy! As it stands, how can you love a God you can't see, if you can't love your brother in Christ whom you see. Very disappointing video. Don't do the devil's work!

I can relate to you Noah. I feel like that too at my church from my worship leader. Worship is always weird. It feels like a click. You're either in or your out A strong worship leader doesn't want another strong worship leader joining him onstage. He wants those who are weaker or who will just go along with the stuff he wants to do. He doesn't want someone who can do what he does or as well as whst he does or better . It's forever frustrating.

Man, this seems seriously painful. After discovering my feelings of being manipulated and emotionally abused and neglected by my Dad it's also taken a hit on my spiritual wellbeing because I relaised there's some parts of my church culture that harm my mental health like people often creating a toxic idea of perfectionism and it just hurts. And it's difficult because it's like you want to be close to God though you just don't want to have to navigate all the pain and other harmful or hurtful ideas that people put on or add onto your ideology of God. Like you want to be close to God though you want your journey to God to be in a safe space, a place where you can explore, be seen by your community and a place where your thoughts and feelings are safe, seen, and valued. A place where you don't have to jump through hoops or sacrifice your own self respect and wellbeing in order to reach God. Where any effort is enough, where there isn't a list of expectations or to do's. A place where you come as you may, and come as you are, where there is no judgement or hidden agendas. Where all people feel welcome and at ease from those in the greatest pain or turmoil to those in less pain. To create a culture like that would be awesome though sadly it seems this kind of culture is difficult in a world like ours.

Hope you are doing well! I was part of Vineyard Music for a LONG time! I was very encouraged by your drumming during the CA government lockdown of in-person worship in 2020! I even bought a Strike Pad because of your very creative "noise" crashes :) God has you and your wife in his loving arms. Jeremy is 'back at it" and it makes me sad that he just gets away with what he did, and has not apologized or owned it. He's in good company with Mike Bickle (sp?) Oh well... GODSPEED brother!

The very fact that they separate "community-driven" and "cause-driven" is literally a contradiction in itself with the context of what the church is suppose to be for the world. Not to even get into the phrase "driven" aspect of physiological drive, this almost looks like you look to one-self to define what you do, rather than what God has assigned you to do. Showing up late as a worship team member is absurd and disrespectful for adults. Emergencies excepted, showing up on time is what adults do, no excuses. If you repeatedly show up late at a paid job, you will be sanctioned or fired. Since we are serving the King of Kings who died for us, how much importance should we place on being excellent for His Majesty? This is snowflake nonsense by irresponsible, immature people. This is a pastor trying to mold his leadership the way he sees fit. Jesus did the same thing.
