The current game market is completely fucked and preying on their customers instead of trying to make a good game. The only ones trying to innovate are indies devs and they will never be like a good AAA game. (I.e Ghost of tsushima/cyberpunk/the witcher 3) Why do people try to act as if this isn't a real issue on the whole gaming community?

ive been playing survival and sandbox games for YEARS and I got bored with every single one, and related to one of those “video games arent fun anymore” videos. I then tried extraction shooters.

Maybe it will be a longer comment. Imagine living in time when there's no widely accessible internet and having limited number of games and still having tons of fun replaying them and even finding new secrets after replaying them multiple times. Imagine still having fun in those games you played even 10-15 years later. Whole statement about "isn't fun anymore" is almost like some people have very narrow scope of only very last releases or most popular titles. You could find fun games before, you can find new fun games now, you can find tons of fun games that are as old as you sometimes. Some people not even lazy to find new fun stuff, it's almost as they are afraid to go for that crusade of finding new stuff or giving a thing their time to try it. Sometimes you need friends who can pull you into stuff you never tried, like I had a friend who persuaded me to stream his fav hardcore games to him and couple of our friends, and I totally sucked at those games and probably never even tried them myself, but it still was fun and those games really started growing on me, so I started to look for such stuff myself aside of my "regular" games. Also, imagine some rhythm gamers playing same thing for almost two decades sometimes and not getting bored by it. Some people rather afraid to try new things or just desperate for attention so they post those vids with their whining about it.

I think that triple a gaming is dogshit even tho good triple a games get released the majority of them are mediocre and horrible triple a gaming has the worst reputation and free indie games keep destroying 70$ triple a games

Games are far better then what they were back then with what the devs are capable of doing… when people state gaming isn’t fun anymore they focus on the low end or even mid tier stuff that are just there to waste the players time, they dotn focus on single player titles or they will double down and suck the cock of old games like new Vegas or even modern warfare it’s Assigning

The guys in my generation that are late 20s/30s saying that games back in the day were better are so freaking annoying. Games nowadays are objectively better in every way and anyone saying otherwise is stuck in the past. The only thing I would argue is that companies don't take as many risks as they used to so many games end up feeling samey. But that's what AA gaming is here for imo.

I’ve been pretty much forcing myself to get through my steam library instead of just playing my favorite 5 games so I can get a better appreciation of the medium and I’ve genuinely never had so much fun gaming. Plus, there plenty of great indie and AA (yes AA, not AAA. It’s not a typo) that are coming out. It’s hard to enjoy games if all you play are half baked AAA shitfests which is why I’m trying to get through and 100% my entire Steam library.

So what i heard was that Minecrafts Code itself is very old and its a mess since Notch was inexperienced at the time and its hard to fix the code. So if they wanted to doo a massive update it would take alot of time and testing to make sure it doesn't huet the Mobs A.I,Textures, or how certain blocks or items spawn/Fucition. This also i believe doubles towards if this Update has items involving anything with red stone or more complex items

this is why I am a proud member of the modding community. while I do play Fortnite cause it's always fresh, I play modded StarCraft, Minecraft (not recently), and all these other games that are moddable. Minecraft wouldn't be popular if not for mods and that's perfectly great.

I wen through this phase a few months ago, turns out the problem was that i needed to form opinions of the games independently from people on the internet and follow what my tastes are. Rn i am playing MGSV and i just started Majora’s Mask Recomp, which i initially didn’t understand but now i am very excited to continue. I have many more games to play and can’t wait to do so

I personally have been loving doom eternal, started it recently, when you get the movement down it’s insanely fun.

It's the lack of effort put into modern games that makes new games not fun for me. I still have great fun with GTA 5, MC, Just Cause 3, HL2, Gmod, etc. These other people are just burnt out due to a lack of imagination. I've been playing Minecraft for nearly 10 years. Sure, survival isn't my cup of tea anymore, but I still have great fun in hardcore and creative. People need breaks, and that's what I do.

The only game I dont enjoy anymore is Call Of Duty. That's purely because of how sweaty a lot of the player base is. You have to play it religiously to compete and I don't have the time, willpower or desire to play the same game constantly. I've been playing a lot of open world simulator games and so on and I've been having an absolute blast not worrying about a goddamn thing floating through space building things and blowing up others.

Holy hell I agree with this video so much. I’ve spent this gen on the switch, and just these past few years alone I’ve experienced so much new in gaming that I now adore The Crash Bandicoot Quadrilogy made me Get good and feel a true increase in my skill level I Liked Kirby before the past few years, but this gen is when I got truly obsessed with the series; with Kirby and the Forgotten Land making me rethink how I viewed videogames as a whole. Pikmin and Portal got me to play Genres I would otherwise be afraid to try genres I would otherwise be afraid of, while presenting different, yet equally powerful stories. And Metroid Dread is just straight up my favourite game of all time Bottom line is, the people who say “Variety is the spice of life” are right

To me, the whole "Minecraft was better back when it was simple and not filled with so much content like Terraria", are people that are way too nostalgic for the Alpha and beta versions of Minecraft. To me, as a Terraria player myself, I haven't even seen all of the content that game has. And that game has thousands of content. And I have completed that game multiple times already. So when you try to make an argument on how Minecraft is "over blotted with too much content", I just think that argument isn't really a great point. Especially if your a modern player that hasn't seen all of the possibilities of this game and haven't explored it fully. This game is supposed to be a game that is supposed to offer infinite possibilities. How can you run out of things to do when you haven't seen much of what Minecraft can offer? Unless your a player that plays like everyone else. Then if that's the case, then I think you need to get out of your comfort zone. Plus, I think more content for Minecraft isn't entirely a bad thing. For example. People, (like myself) wants an end update. And I think it's great if we get that massive amount of content. Plus, if it adds more depth and complexity to Minecraft, then that's pretty good in my eyes. And this is coming from a guy that has played this game since 2011. And your telling me that this game has way too much content? That by itself, baffles me
