i remember all the players afk or chilling at steve's or even on the transporter.. i always thought they were so cool

i remember the mean bobcats but also they were so cool and now.. they all changed

Not related but I miss the old horse sounds now that they updated them. It'a one of the very few things that were left of the old SSO that was always with you.

I always felt a kinda connection to the old so idk what it is but when I see something to do with the old sso, I feel sad but excited at the same time.. that why I always play starshine legacy because it makes me so happy! ❤ Sadly sso changed so much..😢 I do not recognize sso because the storyline changed alot and I miss so much places that are in starshine legacy..

honestly don't understand why they removed all these quests over the years. i would take these over the snowflake collection any day hah, they seem to make jorvik feel more alive! crossing my fingers we'll get something similiar next christmas. we do have those northern light activities, but a lot of them don't feel very organic, maybe except for james' scamming antics (lol) and the story telling sit-downs with all the pillows and stuff.

started playing in 2013 and now seeing the old sso clips... I miss it so much. SSO has completely ruined their game and they really don't care.

I hate how this game got from being a mysterious, complex adventure game to something that resembles a barbie movie. And I don't buy the excuse that they're trying to make it more appropriate for young children, most of us were children when we started playing. There's no thrill to the story line and the atmosphere anymore...it sucks.

It‘s a fact that SSO isn’t as good as before. It’s a lot of new stuff which is actually great, but also they just lose the spirit of the whole story/plot. Many things stay unfinished, instead they add completely new aspects to the game and some don’t make sense unfortunately.

I still go through the Autumn Riders, since my assumption is that is 100% how we got the map for Online, it's so interesting to see how areas that are now in modern day SSO are so different and/or non-existent (such as Mistfall in the Autumn Riders, non-existent) in the Autumn Riders. Only climbing is made more difficult as every time you jump, your horse in the CD games is like a bouncy ball and just bounces off everything 😂😅

26:23 "Star Stable had nothing to gain, except a happy community." you put that into words so well that i just HAD to point it out. it's so sad how much truth is behind that line. it just goes to show their main priority now-a-days is money. they don't care about the community as much as they once did.

I don’t get the “it’s too religious” reason to remove such an event, I’m not Christian and I couldn’t care less about the event being religious, it’s just some coloured eggs and some bunny’s :( And if they think they’re not being fair to other religions, why not add special days/events for all the major religions? That would be way more inclusive and people could learn about other religions this way

I'm a newer player, since I started playing the game around 2019, when most of the critical changes were made. It was magical at first, obviously - buying the star rider after a year, and the whole world opening. I would spend all day just playing the game, but the lack of reputation blockers brought me to the endgame in about two-three months. Then I started getting bored, currently I only play now and then, I didn't even do the newest main plot quests. When I first got to know about the missing rep blockers, I was so disappointed, I felt like I missed a huge chunk of experience and story-telling that is never going to come back and that feeling comes back every time someone mentions those quests. Star Stable is always removing stuff to appeal to the new players, but from my perspective it's just robbing us of the gameplay itself. I wish they would change it back, but it doesn't seem like they plan to...

How long ago was saving Meteor from GoldenHills removed?? I swear just 1 or 2 months ago I had finished that quest? 😭

I wasn't aware the pandoric rifts were also gone. The game has lost all of its character. All the new pretty models, while definitely a visual improvement, can't make up for that.

I remember a message that came when you tried to log in onto a full server as a non-starrider, it goes somewhere along the lines “Sorry but the server is full, please try again later when some people have logged off or switch your server. Remember, Starriders get faster a spot on the Server” I told my friends about this message and they looked at me like I was crazy but I remember this message so vividly, it must have been in 2017 cuz that’s where I started playing

I've only played SSO since 2019, but the amount of change has been unbelievable. I watched so many CZcamsrs who played back in 2016, and it just felt so much more alive and meaningful with longer lasting quests. It probably took me a year before everything was done and over with, and there was nothing else left to do.

During past years Halloween quests, the scarecrow race, it would allow me as a non SR to go explore cape west till the timer ran down and I had to restart the race

remembering going into this area with my sso best friend💕 haven’t talked to her in years since we were so young back then, i hope she’s doing okay today :))

22:55 as a muslim, im happy too see that they wanted to be inclusive of all religions and stuff but sso is js boring without all those christian holiday events.
