Welcome & Greetings from the Grasshopper! 🌿
My channel is a mixtape of my passions and inspirations. I know adventure keeps me young, both in mind and body, so I will never stop exploring further down the path.
Nature's beauty distracts me and drives me to ask questions and seek out new adventures. I seek over land and water, down country roads, around mountains and across lakes. My path has many branches, changeably as the trees with the seasons.
Thanks for visiting my channel, hope you find something to make you smile! 😊

Silent Cycling in the Acadian Forest of Nova Scotia
The rain had stopped and the lush summer forest was full of mist and wonder on this beautiful day in June. A lovely day for a silent ride through this amazing and diverse woodland. 🌱
Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Acadian forest is the predominant forest type in the Maritimes and is confined to these provinces (Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick). It boasts a rich diversity of more than 30 species of native trees. This mixed wood forest ecosystem provides habitat for wide-ranging mammals, such as Canada lynx, and supports breeding bird populations. Less than one per cent of original old growth Acadian forest remains today, making it one of the rarest forest types in North America. 🌿

Scenic Ride Down Orchard Lane 🌸 Riding in Corberrie, Nova Scotia
zhlédnutí 32Před měsícem
On a beautiful day in June I ventured down Orchard Lane, located in Corberrie, Nova Scotia. I had not been down the road before, so I was not sure what I would find. As I started down the gravel road the sun danced through the trees and there was a warm breeze, sweet with the smell of wild flowers. I came across a bridge with a lovely view, bullfrogs and birds. I discovered a new double track r...

On any Sunday in rural Canada there are some folks with their dog having fun adventures. On this Sunday we are out on our bicycles with our Beagle Beatrix. This is her second ride in her new wagon and she seems to be enjoying the experience, I know Mom and Dad sure are. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! 🌻 Music by The Grasshopper 🌿

Exploring Porcupine Lake Wilderness Area by Bicycle - Nova Scotia
zhlédnutí 58Před měsícem
On a beautiful Spring ☀️ morning in Nova Scotia, I set off for a bicycle adventure into Porcupine Lake Wilderness Area. 🌿 I am taking the "back road" in on this ride. The trail is overgrown and thick with fresh Spring growth. It should be a fun adventure just making my way through. 😁 As I make my way into the area, I get the sense that I have entered into a special place. In 2015 the Wilderness...
Duck Flyby, So Worth the Stop - Cycling in Nova Scotia
zhlédnutí 45Před měsícem
The plan was to do a short out and back ride. I told myself, no stopping for photos or videos. That's like telling a kid not to run through a puddle, or telling a dog to ignore a squirrel. 😁 Nature's beauty just distracts me, not such a bad thing really. Today's stunning view was well worth the stop, not to mention the duck flyby! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by & Welcome to the channel. 🌿

Bridges, Bruises & A Duck- Spring in Nova Scotia - Ride Log

Getting back on the bike after a fall is both a good feeling and a bit sketchy at the same time. After a few days and still a little bruised up, I headed out for a ride and took it easy. Stopped by a favourite spot on a bridge, saw a cool duck and reflected on getting back on the bike. Also celebrating One Month with my new bike! 🥰 🥳 Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by. 😊 🌿 For more in...

What beautiful scenery! I'm gonna have to take a ride back that way sometime soon
Thanks from Quebec for your great video.
Merci, from Nova Scotia 🙂
No worries, getting buZZed isn't illegal anymore! lol
😄
Love riding country roads like this. Stop and take in the surroundings. Last night i was on a bike ride and it had just gotten dark, rode by a swampy area and stop to listen to the frogs. Also seen some lighting bugs, which was the first time ive ever seen them IRL. BTW, what are you using for your handlebar camera setup?
Your ride sounds really nice. I just saw some lighting bugs around my place, also my first time seeing them, so cool. Thanks for watching by the way. 🙂 I am using a GoPro 10 on the bike and a Nikon Z6II for the scenic stops. I have a neat mount for the GoPro in which I can hang and rotate the camera from my bars.
Great video! Thank you 👍
Hello. I just subbed. I am from Digby. Glad to see local areas and ppl! Btw, are you going to do the Terra Fondo on Sunday?
Hello and Welcome to my channel. 🙂 I'm not riding in the Terra Fondo this year. I just got back on a bike and wasn't sure how I would feel. I am riding more than I thought, so next year I want to run the Gran Fondo and then the Terra Fondo in 2026. It all looks like great fun, are you riding in the Terra Fondo? Have a great weekend! 🌿
Lmao that could easily be a duck we used to have them on our farm sounds very similar
Does sound like an old big toad too
@@okok9338 Someone said a Bullfrog. After looking them up, that's what I think it is. Made me giggle still....lol
Bullfrog
ohhhh, Thanks! First time living around them so I wasn't sure.
Ahh, the sound of gravel under your wheel... So nice. I've fallen and didn't unclip quick enough, LOL (quite a few times) I'm glad you had a nice rice.
Thanks 🙂 I have to really watch myself now as I just got a mountain bike with platform pedals. Now when I switch bikes I have to be mindful, or over I will go again...lol
Go on down there and try and pat them and we will see how furry and little they really are. Lol.
😆....I learn by watching others. Once when I was little I saw an adult goose chancing a lady out of the park when she got too close. I didn't need to repeat her actions...lol. But not cool to approach them when they have young. Just let them be and keep your distance, as I am sure you know. 🙂
Geese.
It was just a matter of time....lol, I am just having fun, I always call them gooses....😆
Watch out! She'll start in on the Mooses too!
😂
its true tho
Oh WOW simply majestic British Columbia
Majestic is good word to describe BC for sure! 🙂
So beautiful
Road trip!
Have to keep on rolling, just a bit slower! 😃 Hope you are having some adventures of your own.
I have time! Hello! 😊
Greetings 🙂
Nice! What size of tire is this?
The tires are Schwalbe G-One Bite 28" x 1.7" Gravel. They work better than I thought they would. 🙂
Combine gravel riding with mushroom identification and consumption---you'll have me hooked.
Hey good idea, but unfortunately due to my mushroom identifying skills it would most likely be my last video....😆
I love my narrower road version. Light. Stable. Secure. Easy to install. Super effective. Keeps me clean and dryer. Easy to clean. Get one!
I was wondering how the road version worked, thanks for the info. There's just no reason not to get one. 🙂 Happy riding and have a nice weekend.
Nice Himalayan….actually I should probably dust off my mountain bike! Enjoy!
Thanks, I enjoyed my Himalayan. Great time of year to dust off the bike for sure. I was out today and it was beautiful. Happy riding!
❤❤❤😊😊
Definitely dont go passed trees that are down across the trail if they dont look like they naturally fell there
Totally agree, I lived in BC for a long time and trees are downed to close off trails all the time. That and really big boulders....lol. In this case it was clearly from the wind as the road ahead had a lot of branches and more trees down on it.
Too much awesome for normal viewers. Viewer discretion advised.
😆😎
Just perfect conditions and environment for a Canadian canoe. Loved it.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice weekend. 🙂
Majestic. Just simply MAJESTIC
The perfect word to describe such beauty. 🙂
Lovely video. Looks like such a beautiful trip.
Thank You 🙂 It was an amazing journey.
So incredibly beautiful..it's where I want to be...❤
Kenora is the worst city in Canada!!!!
😅 I'm sure others are bad
The battle of the century
Great set of videos on changing the steering bearing. Also, and I'm not sure how, but also one of the most relaxing videos I've seen in a while lol.
lol......Hey thanks, that made my day. Glad you enjoyed them. Have a great week. 🙂
Very good video. Thank you 🙂
Buena limpieza le estás dando a la Royal Enfield . así siempre la tendrás impecable . Procura que se seque bien . Si no se seca , la humedad provocará óxiso y eso es más díficil de eliminar .Saludos
Hello, a question, this is done because the exai error appears???
Ahh my home town
An excellent how to video.
Thanks 🙂
I like the red bash plate.
I will do this to my 22 himalayin thanks for the BIG Tip😃
The place and the tour is beautiful👍 It's great content my friend👍
A big thanks!!!! 😎👍
Hey, thanks for this excellent video, i received my kit downhere on Brazil, but had some doubts before watching your video. Thank you so much
Happy to hear my video helped you with your installation. Safe Travels! 🙂
The clean side of the filter doesn’t look too bad…. I hope not!!! Inside is dirty side….
Yep, I find the inside is dirtier.
Visualization video is awesome my friend👌 Thanks a lot for sharing a great content👍
Thanks a lot for your kind comments and for watching my journey. 🙂
The End! What an amazing experience, thanks for watching! 😎
Thanks for the ride 👌. All the best in your Nova Scotia adventure

Not a bad makeshift shop Im Impressed
In the1970s i had to drive a charterd bus up to Kenora, stayed a week. being from the Chicago area, and so far up north, i marveled that the Sun set over an hour later! Seeing this video tells me things have changed alot, but still a nice clean town, next to some lakes with fantastic fishing, and fresh air! Really short summers though. about two weeks and one day! There are Suberbs near Chicago that are four or more times bigger than Kenora! Anetas husband..
I can only imagine how it has changed since the 70's. It is a nice town, we stayed a night and had a lovely time. I would love to visit Chicago, but the volume of people might be hard for me to handle. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my channel!
