Bonita Springs Fishing | Snook, Snapper, Jacks, and Dolphins

Fishing at some of our usual spots in Bonita Springs, Fl. We started off netting a bunch of pilchards just off the beach before the thunderstorms arrived. After heading out we had a pod of playful dolphins tag along side the boat, surfing in the wake over a shallow sandbar. Next we hit some fishing holes and got hooked up!

Fishing the Russian River and Kenai River in Cooper Landing, Alaska during August of 2020. The salmon run was a bit slow but we were able to sight cast plenty of fish and pick them off. We had many close encounters with brown bears and a couple blacks. Filmed on the GoPro Hero 8 and Dji Mavic Air.

We headed a few miles offshore on a calm day to see what was biting at the wreck. A smoker kingfish came by and peeled line off the Fin Nor ofs 6500 and was landed on 30# fluorocarbon leader, a black drum put up a great fight on light tackle, and the usual suspects were around.. barracudas, snapper, and mackerel! We used live greenies for bait with weight on the bottom and freelined.

First time offshore with the new ride, hooked up to a nice 33" Cobia on light tackle! Put a live greenback on the bottom with only 15# braided line, so we had to play him out for a bit in order to land him. Great way to break in the new boat offshore and heck of a fight!

We were lucky enough to come across the predation of a monster hammerhead chasing down a tarpon. We estimate the tarpon to be close to 14ft and the tarpon around 6ft. This was mother nature taking it's course, the fish wasn't hooked or caught by a fisherman beforehand.

Land based tarpon fishing in Naples, Fl. We were fishing from shore with big spinning gear targeting tarpon this evening. As the sun was setting a nice size tarpon flew out of the water and the rod doubled over. We set the hook and fought the fish for 20 mins before safely landing and releasing her.
