whered you get the pedalboard? great video
This is an older model from Holeyboard by Chemistrydesign. They don't make these wooden types anymore, but they do make an excellent aluminium version these days. holeyboardpedalboards.com/
Fg and pm are identical except for the upgraded tuners and tailpiece ( most fg 's don't come with bigsby, they arrive with an ordinary plain tailpiece)
Almost. The PM has a one piece mahogany neck without a volute, the FG has a three piece maple neck with a volute. And of course the PM has one pickup, instead of two.
Je speelt mooi man. En wat klinken die oudere Takamine eigenlijk prachtig.
@@maurice3chordskid456 Dank je wel! En ja, het is één van mijn favoriete gitaarmerken.
Excellent!
@@richardholston8769 Thanx!
hi i'm thinking of buying this guitar from someone, I was just wondering how you describe its sound? is it boomy or more balanced amongst mids bass and highs?
@@Aldred839 Not boomy at all. The Koa wood of the back and sides isn't like that. "Airy" and "transparent" are words that are more coming to my mind. If you listen to the concluding finger picked lines of this recording, you'll hear what I mean. My cedar/rosewood DN45C (same body shape) is definitely more bass heavy.
thank you. That was very helpfull!

??? WAY TOO COMPLICATED. This is not standard musical language. Obviously the people at Boss who make these loopers aren't real musicians --- they are computer programmers and electronics technicians. Someone needs to explain to them that what musicians need is a looper with BAR STRUCTURES that are the basis of 99% of popular music. Whether it's 8 bar-12-bar-16 bar- folk/blues/country/rock and roll, or 32 bar form of classic jazz standards etc, they need to speak musically. What you are demonstrating with "Verse-Chorus" is way too limited. We need the ability to create song forms easily, and this is not the way. We need to write "A-B-A" or "A-B-C-A" or "A-B-A-B" or "A-B-C-D" or other standard variations including "Intro" and "Outro" etc.
Fair enough and I definitely don't want to defend Boss approach for two track looping. 😅 If you want to work with more complicated loops, try the RC600. This will give you 6 independent loops in series or parallel, whatever you desire. Or get yourself a Sheeran unit for triple the price. My approach shown here is to illustrate the fact that you can use verse-chorus looping even if you don't know the amount of measures for every part, for instance when improvising (which I do a lot). I don't use pre recorded loops. Intros and outros - even bridges - aren't usually played multiple times, so I don't needs loops for that.
@@livepoetssociety-NL and by the way, this 👆🏼 is me too.

I only know two words in Dutch and both of them are wrong. Still, I thought this was a pretty song.

Hi. Is it possible to play a drum rhythm to hear but without recording it onto any loop track
@@petercurran1956 yes it is. Check your Input/Output settings: if Rhythm output is set to Loop it will be recorded, but you can set it to outputs as well.
Boss manuals are worthless

It sure does. I don't particularly fancy the inlay work, but it sure sounds awesome.

Extremely cool!! ❤

@JeeWeeDonkers that would be nice, but that one sounds just fine!
Thank you so much….
You are very very welcome!
Maybe! Had it had a repair to the neck / headstock?
Not that I remember. It had a chip of wood missing halfway the neck on the bass side.
Maybe you bought mine, I sold it a couple of years ago. ;-)
Thanks 👍
I have the same guitar, 1978 v300s😊
This video helped me a lot. Thanks!

can you tell me more about the guitar i got the same one from my grandfather
Not much really, I had it in for repair for someone else. This one was in the possession of Dutch beat band The Skyriders in the sixties. Drop me a mail at jeewee.donkers@gmail.com and I will connect you with the owner.
it's pity you cannot change it in only one click unfortunately
Define "it" 🤔
@@JeeWeeDonkers I meant one click to stop the verse and start the chorus immediately, and vice versa. it's undoable to clisk ''track slct'' then ''recplay'' while singing.
is there any way to have the second loop play after the first one without having to switch tracks and time it at the end of the loop? thanks :)
You mean automatically alternate between track 1 and 2 and back again? Not that I am aware of... You can start track 2 at the end of track 1 (and vice versa) seamlessly without having to press a button at the very exact time, but you still need to give the command to switch tracks.
Thx. Considering what to buy and not having this would be a dealbreaker.
Exactly! If you need more flexibility you may want to consider the RC600
Interesting comparison, but in my opinion the target groups and genres are totally different. GFS has more chime and a bit thinner to my ear, I prefer the original
That's exactly what I was aiming for ;-)
Hello and congratulations for your channel, I always follow you.. I wanted to ask you for some info: I have the RC500 and I would like to know if it is possible to start the song by creating a drum kit with the guitar "but not letting the public hear it and therefore not letting it go out from the speakers" but simply record it in the RC and then use it for example in the middle of the song, maybe there is a function? Thank you!
Of course you can record a percussion track with your guitar before your performance, store it in a memory patch and play it at the moment you are performing.
When I do that, the sync with my Beatbuddy pedal goes away.
That's too bad. Unfortunately I can't help you with this, I have no experience with the BeatBuddy
Is there anyway you can switch between the tracks using only the track select switch button? Having to hit the track select button and then the play button every time would be a pain.
If you reprogram your buttons 1 and 2 to Rec/Play/Dub Stop etc for each track respectively, you will be able to achieve just that.
Awesome instrumental fingerstyle acoustic guitar cover, JeeWee. Congratulations !
Merci bien!
Is there a way at to Stop drift ? Seems like as a song progresses the guitar and the drums don’t match

Thanks a lot in advance, friendly greetings from France
Hi Jeewee, Thanx for this video. It helps me a lot to understand my RC-500. In this video you switch from Track 1 to Track 2 by clicking first Track Select, and then Rec/Play. I wonder if its possible to make this switch by just one click. For example to use my FS-7 for this. I presume this can be done by using the assings? Or is this not possible....?
Hi Arie, Thank you, any time! I think you can do that for instance by assigning Track 1 rec/play/stop to button 1 and Track 2 rec/play/stop to button 2. While recording track 1, hit track 2 rec and it should switch right away.
Hey man how are you! How do you make the loop you recorded star back from the beginning? Example..if i stop the loop in the middle of the recording and i push play again it will start back at a certain spot....i dont want that. When i stop it and then re engage it id like to have it start always from the beginning...is it possible? Thanks a lot
There is. In the Play menu - Play Mode select Single, that should do the trick.
Yeah I forgot to mention that im using the rhythm machine on....and if i use the single mode i cant use both channels..i dont think there's a way around this unfortunately
♥️
Beautiful! The way that you keep the cords going with the added melody is different than a lot of fingerstyle. You said in the comments to request a tutorial. Yea! It might be a bit complex without a tab but I would give it a try.
Thank you! Yes indeed I have been cooking up my own kind of style over the years. I'll do my best for tabs as well!
@@JeeWeeDonkers Thanks for the reply. To attempt to describe what I like about this. You are using a very simple finger picking pattern 1, 2, 3, 4. I do this also, or another go to pattern that I like is 1, 2, 3 + 4, 2. I find that a more complex finger picking pattern isn’t necessarily necessary. A simple pattern can sound good. Then, by keeping the finger picking pattern simple makes it easier to add interest with nice cords and melody notes. You have managed a full complex vocal melody intermixed with keeping the finger picking pattern going. I have never accomplished that much. I suspect something that helps is that vocal melodies often use many notes from the cords. So the trick may be hitting those notes at the right time. I suppose I am asking how you approached adding the vocal melody to the cords. Probably you worked through it one bar at a time needing to invent fingerings and intermixed cord notes for each melody note. Not easy. Of course, starting from this absolutely beautiful vocal melody helps!
Such a gorgeous song and melody. Beautifully played!
Thank you!
So good!
Thank you!
