    I took zinc carnozine 84mg, after my supper, an hour later, I took 200mcg selenium. Started feeling better, in that my breathing was not as labored as usual after a meal. I had energy all day today. Just finished repeating the routine. I will let you know how it goes.

    • @gristlevonraben

      Three days now, lots of energy. Each day I feel less fatigue. I always have trouble sleeping, but I have energy now, oddly, I do fall asleep faster, but only only sleep four hours, six with my sleep meds, which is half a 25 mg doxylamine (unisom, zquill) tablet, and a 1!4th 10 mg melatonin. I took iodine today, July 7th, 2024, it drops skin tags, and I don't eat seafood, so I take two a week. I took it about an hour before the zinc. I have to say, I feel stronger with this regime.

    • @gristlevonraben
      @gristlevonraben Před 5 dny

      Ok, I took these for five days, each day I had more energy but on the 5th day, I stayed up all night. I had been more and more unable to sleep. Even now, four days after stopping it, I am having so much energy that I had not had in so long, that I can't sleep. I barely get four hours or three, I usually get six to seven, with sleeping pills. I do feel better, but I can't stand the energy level. I will have to gradually do this. I will try this again in a few days, maybe twice a week, while taking a whole sleeping pill, doxylamine 25mg. And melatonin 10mg.

  • @gristlevonraben
    @gristlevonraben Před 17 dny

    I wonder if zinc l-carnate could pick it up and next day, selenium could take it out, or perhaps an hour apart, I've noticed niacin takes twenty minutes from mouth to flushing or heat rash. Pain pills too. I'm going to try this. I just researched it, they use zinc selenium combos to fight cancer. But I think timing is more important, giving zinc time to grab onto iron in cells and transport it, 42 minutes. This will be my experiment time. I will let you know how I am doing every day I do this. I know my iron is way too high. Ttyl

I just wish she wouldn't use the metric measurements, or at least include the imperial equivalents. By the way, consuming pumpkin seeds is an excellent way to help with hormonal issues and 'shrink' the prostate. It's no cure, of course, but it is a very nutritious work-around. Raw, not roasted, seeds should be used, and be sure to chew them thoroughly, or they will be difficult to digest. They can be purchased already shelled.

      Short answer. It depends. Probably not, but there are cases of people who have normal daytime blood pressure and a problem at night. Could you be one of them ? How would you know ? In the USA, white flour and white rice are fortified with iron. Breakfast cereals have ridiculous amounts of iron, from 60% to 90% of the RDA in one serving, and the servings are probably smaller than what most people actually eat. Some studies have concluded that iron overload drives insulin resistance, which could be one reason Americans are so fat.

    • @Betterbodychemistry
      @Betterbodychemistry Před 3 měsíci

      You make such a good point. In my opinion iron is a key player in insulin resistance. Not sure it actually the start of the problem, but once insulin levels are high : morning, noon and night, the ability to tightly regulate iron absorption is gone. So excess dietary iron, particularly in the form of iron salts, is going to be a problem. In terms of fortification, we have a similar situation in South Africa. Maize meal and flour are fortified with 8 different things......... among them iron. South Africa (a country where a huge number of people go to be hungry every night) is considered among the fattest in the world.

    I've been researching since adolescence about my hypoglycemia. I feel hypoglycemic but when I check my blood sugar it is normal. I recently started getting brain fog when I eat histamine food. I'm almost 60 years old and I think I have histamine intolerance or cell mast activation syndrome. I have read that these conditions can lead to insulin resistance. I read that histamines affect cytokines which affect blood sugar. My doctors don't know what is going on with me. I'll keep watching videos and reading. I have also read that ginger helps with histamine intolerance. I eat low carb and low histamine and I exercise (take walks) when I'm not feeling brain fog. Should I eat less butter? I indulge in butter on my vegetables because I don't react to it because it is not a histamine food I don't think.

    • @Betterbodychemistry
      @Betterbodychemistry Před 3 měsíci

      So sorry to hear of your health struggles. I don't know very much about histamine intolerance and if you search the big medical data bases, there is nothing linking histamine to insulin. Easiest way to know if you are dealing with insulin resistance is to take a look at other "symptoms". A feeling of being ""hypoglycemic"after a meal is not one of them. High blood pressure, big belly, high triglycerides, high sugar and low HDL are the typical markers.

    • @Betterbodychemistry
      @Betterbodychemistry Před 3 měsíci

      Breathing exercises are definitely beneficial. The benefit will be less about "saturating" oxygen levels so the oxygen is pushed into the tissue and more about triggering the parasympathetic nervous system. This is the side of your nerve system which helps you relax. As you relax, your blood vessels also relax and this ends up improving the delivery of oxygen.
