Khol-Ambe Gojju | Salted & Aged Mango in Spicy Coconut Chutney - Authentic Konkani Cuisine
Hello Everyone! Welcome back to Bapama's Kitchen. After four months of hard work, I finally got a chance to visit home, relax, and spend quality time with family. During my break, I decided to capture a special recipe that holds a cherished place in our hearts - Khol-Ambe Gojju.
Khol-Ambe Gojju is a mouth-watering dish made with salted and wet-aged mangoes, blended into a coconut-based chutney with roasted red chilies and garlic. This traditional Konkani recipe is a seasonal favorite during the mango harvest, often enjoyed as a chutney-like pickle.
Ingredients:
1 Salted and Wet Aged Mango
For the Chutney:
4-5 Pods of Garlic
1/2 Cup Grated Coconut
6-8 Dried and Roasted Red Chilies
Water (to grind)

    Bapamma,my mom in law ground a tabspn of soaked rice, lil coconut and added that as alavan! In Goa at my mom's madgane is prepared exactly the way you prepared but we add sago/ sabudana too.. My husband is from Gangolli..we Goans call it Mangane 😊

    Good morning Bapama! Lovely to see you again, and thanks for the yummy recipe! Ashwin - if I can suggest, you don't need to upload all the videos all together. Record them as you can, then take your time editing them, and release once every two weeks/every month - that's better for the CZcams algorithm, then uploading lots together, and then nothing for a while. This might also give you the opportunity to add/check subtitiles in English.
