The worst part about the money thing is that it could've been so easily solved. Just not have the money there, make it so that she had it hidden somewhere else. Not only does it solve the problem of her not being able to reach it because that location could've already be set on fire and make the money impossible to get from the beginning, but it would've also explained why the people that found her didn't take the money, because they could've think she didn't have any. Then you pick the cat and leave. Putting the money there and preventing you from picking it up is almost as dumb as the guy from Outlast not picking up any kind of stick or anything to defend himself from all the psycopaths.

Let’s have every single NPC feature a proper British accent and use the correct terminology for the era/vibe the game is trying to portray… but then lets make the main character as American as can be, shouting things like “I gotta split!” Edit: the smartphone scene threw me off and then I looked it up and realized the plot is a young New Yorker gets transported to a magical realm, and now the horrific dialogue makes so much more sense.
