Škoda 120 LS 1979 – Fixing the seat belt retractor mechanism
The seat belt retractor mechanism in my 1979 Škoda 120 LS was not functioning properly. The retractor hangs and it was a pain to get the seat belt out. I could get it 2 cm out but then it locked. I had to let it roll back 1 cm to be able to pull out the next 2 cm - you get the point. It took over a minute to get the seat belt on. I had tried to fix the retractor a few times but I didn’t completely understand the mechanism. But now I finally cracked it and the seat belt retractor works as it should. These Klippan retractors are also used in other older cars from the 70´s and the 80´s.

Great video, i am wondering if this sensor self relearns , i asked the mechanic to change the cambelt and all seems fine , no errors or faults, should i do this too? I dont know if he performed that best regards

Why does the MultiEcuScan not show the long term and short term fuel trims in the parameters mode?
It seems that not all ECU:s are supported. I'm not able to see the fuel trims for our car. But I can see them on my iCarsoft CR PRO. On some cars the fuel trims can be found under Parametres labeled--> FRA and DTV.
I could indeed see the fuel trims on a universal obd reader. But I see very strange numbers, the long term fuel trims are constantly at 65% and the short term fluctuates from -90% / +70%. Weird Italian Cars 🤣🤣🤣

I’m still using FreeHand MX (started with FH 2.0!) in 2018! I don’t think this video is relevant anymore though as Apple took that “classic mode” function away years ago.

Did you manage to repair the popping sound problem? What was the cause?
It had something to do with the ignition. But I decided to replace the old points ignition system with an electronic ignition module. It works so much better.
Kim Mäkynen Good that you fixed it. I did the same and fitted a Luminition system on my 105, and I agree that the car runs much better. The problem is poor quality or old condensers which give a bad spark. Even brand new ones are often bad.
I just ordered one of those from Mr Frank Heinz for my Skoda 105 - and now I have no excuse for bad gear changes. I really like your 120 and look forward to seeing more videos this year.

I'd recommend removing the icv, cleaning it with carbon gunk remover (use gloves) and also removing the actual maf sensor and misting the contacts with maf cleaner. I was having idle and acceleration issues and once I performed these two procedures I got improved gas millage, idle was smooth and car felt brand new. Also if possible replace the elbow that connects from the back of the maf to the throttle body. 👍

It was a leaking fuel hose under the inlet manifold. Air got into the system that way.

Take it this won't work with OS X Mavericks? I just tried it with a trial version of parallels And I got the following message: "OS X virtual machines can have only the OS X Server Leopard or OS X Server Snow Leopard operating system installed. Other versions of OS X are not supported. The "touch" step part won't work as above. Anyone got any ideas????
