This video helped me find the problem of the breaker tripping. It was the pump/lift station to out septic tank. So thankful it wasn’t in the house and that we could identify the problem and get the right thing fixed.

Steve, there is no need to use plastic anchors with Tapcons. The screw itself is designed for use with concrete/cement. It’s best to drill into the cement/mortar joints than into the brick because brick is a softer material in many cases

Is that e Eaton afci breaker? Those always go bad. They had issues internally few years back from what i hear and experience. Just replace it with a newer one. Today that issue is resolved so im told.

I have a 20 amp bolt in breaker that controls the light inside the commercial restaurant cooler that keeps tripping..... the light and switch were corroded for 20 years of use. After replacing both them, both the Westinghouse bolt in breaker still tripped.... my next step is to replace the bolt in breaker.

You do know that you are pulling excess tnsile strength on the 4, 6 or 8 wires you are pulling with? The manufacturer would not warranty their wire if they seen it pulled like this. Look I have done thousand of pulls myself like this and found out about 15 years ago that I was creating excess tensile pulling force on the wire. Go guy a Southwire GP110 pulling sock kit. It is not only about 3 times faster than this but it pulls the wire like the manufacturer intended it to. Not trying to be mean here or disrespectful I am just trying to do my part to better the industry. Thanks for posting the video. Any videos of the electrical industry are a big help to us.

That is a proven way to attach to a rope. On long pulls i always wrapped a couple of individual strands of scrap wire around the folded wire and twisted the ends to hold the folded wires tight then taped it

From the start. Why are you cutting into their wall paper. Shouldn't you try unplugging everything on that circuit, then turning the breaker on to see if it trips still? Then if it does look at receptacles for signs on heat, etc.

Crap our house is still rocking the old porcelain screw in fuse placard that house has the all original electrical system in it and it seems to work fine nothing gets hot it's just super old electrical the house is nearly 140 years old and we're thinking the wiring was put in the early 1900s there's one outlet in each room and a light switch that's it it's kind of crazy that they left the wiring original but it still seems to work pretty good

OK, you got me. You said you were doing 240v but showed a 120v outlet box, so you had me curious. However, it's a 240v outlet that got put in. For those who want to know the difference, on the 240v outlet, one of the holes is horizontal while the other is both vertical and horizontal. In the 120v outlet, one is vertical and the other is both horizontal and vertical. Take a look at the box that he shows at first. It also clearly says 125v on the front of it.

Great video, what a mess of wires in that attic and with no junction boxes. A fire waiting to happen. The Electrician that strung that mess shouldn't be allowed to even flip a light switch on.

Appreciate the video. Working with 3 phase and bolt in breakers can be intimidating. There are safety concerns unbolting the 120-volt breaker from the hot bus bar? Do you recommend wearing cotton gloves inside the Class 0 or 2 Rubber gloves with leather gloves on the outside?
