One question I noticed there’s no local isolation on both of the fans is that not part of the regs in the USA .

At the roof fans unties so as you are working on the the fan motors you know that they are off and no one can switch them on that is what we call local isolation in the U.K.

If this is in the US, which I think it is, it’s very likely governed by the national electric code, which does require disconnects on the fan and make up air unit on the roof. It being inspected, this would be a fail.

Nice to see a qualified and respectful electrician explain the commercial kitchen systems. Worked for a company in the Carolinas. We were working in the kitchen and they didn't explain anything to me about what we had to do. We didn't get any call backs so I assume it was correct.
