I play the finals on 1080p since my laptop has a 1080p screen with an rtx 4050. my issue is unlike games like bf1 where there is a resultion upscaler which helps the image looks sharp and good, the finals doesnt have that and the image looks blurry and clustered to me. When i tried to tweak the DSR/DLDSR i couldnt find the settings in my nvidia control pannel probably because my laptop doesnt have the mux switch. I updated all the drivers, kept running all nvidia services, did everything except for messing with BIOS. Is there any help in this regard ?

Only there is goood...Its then you want to play old game. Render ×2 in old game it's SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD. Many of them calculate shaders depending on resolution. The same for Crysis on a 4K monitor today looks MAGICAL, but with downscale from 8K it’s absolutely awesome!!!!.

u test nvidia settings on amd gpu???????

Of course Nvidia Panel works, If your Game Runs on build it GPU for some reason U can Change IT there and gain much better Performance

I only have a 1080p monitor and I was missing taking advantage of DLSS by upscaling to higher resolutions like 4K. I had already tested DSR, but it was bad because it didn't adjust the smoothness to 0. Thank you very much for the tip, my game looked beautiful.

Try Lossless Scaling, it really works in FPS emulation

That was useful on old versions of emulators like Cemu or yuzu, but now you can choose all these settings directly in the software

Gread Video! There is a valid use case for it tho, if zou want to tune for image quality, latency and so on. Anisotropic filtering, vsinc/gsync settings, the nvida latenty boost thingy etc. all work perfectly in most games to this date. Anisotropic filtering for example is implemented so low level, that basically all game engniges use it, as it is part of build functions of directX, the driver etc.

Now THAT is a refreshing perspective.

Does Nvidia control panel helps in emulator games?

I found out that setting power management to performance mode improved latency on games with low GPU utilization but that's about it. Also the setting to disable vsync on games that force it is quite handy.

Lmao this so dumb, why use DLSS + DSR when they literally do the opposite of each other, have you tried just playing native instead of this mouse and cat game trying to give more load to the gpu and then the cpu

Don't forget to turn off drop shadows for your app windows to maximise your games fps guys!

Whats the difference between this and Vulkan

Well.. i actually edited a single setting that im always using. Which is to cap FPS to around 10% more than my monitor supports. Since my monitor is 160hz, I dont want to waste heat and resources rendering 500+fps. So the FPS cap is a good one to adjust there

Hi bro, I own MSI GF65 THIN 10SER RTX 2060 Model laptop. Initially all games were running just fine but with time even the small games like sniper elite 4 has been stuttering. I have tried reinstalling windows by completely wiping the data. Still the issue didn't fix. I have been trying to watch lot of youtube videos. Tried applying all the settings suggested but still the games are cooked. Can you please help me on how I can get the gaming performance I used to get when this laptop was new. All the help would be much appreciated. I look forward a response. Thanks a bunch.

Another amature that has no idea how to get to the 400 FPS range... LOL Crying to Nivida...! Let me tell you once your over 200FPS those little tweaks count. Just so you know DUDE I run at 400 FPS on these games.

You are benchmarking fps when the control panel actually might be affecting response times, gsync, and texture flicker/popping settings. Try the same benchmark and check the other factors.

Well I mean, the only time I do them is one time as soon as i get the pc lol As soon as i got an alienware in 2014, I remember watching one of those video and it helped FPS on battlefield quite a bit. think it raised by 10 or somein.

hey, sorry, but i disagree, even with your fancy editing and nice graphs ! im a barebones tweaker and there are so many tweaks people recommend that others think have no affect on their system at all, and often call them placebo, and i am here to tell you that those people are wrong! a lot of these tweaks make huge differences depending on the task, situation and other things going on. for example 16x AF in CS2 makes a huge difference, even though its typically viewed on forums that 0x and 16x AF in modern games, with modern hardware doesn't make a difference, well, it does, quite a big one too! there are also situations where an in game AF doesn't work quite as well, so forcing AF via the control panel actually provides a better experience, such as in games like GTAV where Anti Aliasing is absolutely broken, or older tiltes which have no support for things like FXAA. Depending on if you want to go for Quality or Performance, a lot of these tweaks DRASTICALLY change various games. For example forcing AF in minecraft will make every single block have an outline, so you also have to think about bugs!

The only thing you should do with NVCP for every game is using max performance mode and Vsync on or off. That's it, literally. Maybe ultra low latency mode too for competitive games.
