(For much much more, see czcams.com/video/GW2Hvu_mUdU/video.html ) The F-22 demo at the Langley airshow - the first airshow to get a REAL F-22 demo, not just a few passes. The backflips and sudden pitch-ups are reminiscent of those seen in Sukhoi and MiG-29 demos.
Sad many of the pilots today cant fly like this guy. Isreal has some very good pilots the best top guns.
Watching the USSR “Monster” Farnborough in the early nineties with the SU27 and MIG29 makes this laughable…… 😂🤣

Of course it's not a "Cobra" aerial maneuver! SU-27 it has an excess of thrust, so the engines will keep it in the air, if possible, it will back up slightly, tip over into a sharp descent, and descend low above the ground. This is made possible by only two powerful engines with a excess thrust and, of course, the pilot's mastery, and that's what the Americans lack!

An addendum to the post below, having carefully looked at the competitors….The F22 is certainly more maneuverable than its predecessors….but…and I HATE to say this…the SU 57 wipes the floor with it. But may be WAAAY more apparent when doing so. If one can hide and the other can’t, good luck to the one that all can see. And don’t try to convince me the SU57 is Level 5 and commensurately hard to see. Don’t believe it for a minute.

Vertical climb also reduces your forward airspeed to 0 like the cobra, but you also gain altitude over the opponent when they’re forced ahead of you. It’s basically cobra but better and can be done by most fighters.

Saying that the F22 is bad because it can’t cobra is like saying an F1 car is bad because it can’t drift.
From what I can tell, at least from this video, the F22 can tolerate a backwards fall without its engines flaming out, can back flip from a stationary position, CAN DO A COBRA, is stealthy, has advanced avionics...and when a clutch of them are fronting for an F35 there is no air force capable of even getting close to them. Air superiority indeed.

i just seen a video of jets doing the Cobra, and on the button of the screen it says that F-22 can't do the Cobra, can anyone tell me if that is true or not?
