Troubleshooting tips when your air conditioning A/C system is not working. Make sure you follow this first when your compressor is not spinning, and DON'T add R134a until you do THIS for your ac system.
Thanks. Got it working.
If AC is working but cooling is about 50% then what is the issue?
Absolutely on top of your game the black fuse was the issue, thanks team.
You’re the MAN .. the relay was bad … YOU’VE GAVE MY SHADE TREE MECHANIC SKILLS A BOOST !!! Thank you
Would it explain why the passenger radiator fan not spinning
Oh man, not sure. I would check to make sure that fuses and relays are all working well for the radiator fans, as well. They also have their own. Thanks for viewing!
Thank you so much! Fuse was fine, but sure enough the relay was the culprit. Thanks for letting us know we could use the fan relay to test with first. Hoping Karma heads your way for posting this.
So glad this helped you!!!
This crap is a crock of shit and doesn't work...
Thank you very much for this informative video - solved my problem for $10 - there's a little place in Heaven reserved for you when its time - and lets hope its a long, long time!
Amazing! Love your comment and glad this helped. Stay cool!
Thank you so much for putting this video out there. I just fixed my AC with help of this video. Many thanks and blessings.
Thank you x's a million!! I know I'm super late to this party seeing as how its now been 5 years, but my guy, YOU just saved me SO MUCH MONEY!!! Excellent presentation and your explanation of possibilities vs true problem was spot on!! Blessings to you and yours!!
Love this. Glad it helped you!
Your a genius…thank you!
5 years later you’re still making husbands look like geniuses. Thank you. Fixed my issue.
Sheesh, I haven't checked my page in a while and missed responding to your amazing comment. Thank you!
Thank you for your help
Thanks for the great video explanation 😀 👍
Had me at when its the wife problem its everyones
Very good sir. Great job. Cheap fix. Thank you.
Is it normal for the ac compressor to be cycling on and off like that every 5 seconds ?
It was on that day, as I had the windows open and the weather was 95 degrees with about 50% humidity. I think the heat index was 112 degrees that particular day. It was awful.
Thanks. Saved me lots
Thank you for sharing this video I fix my wife ac on her odyssey an she is the happiest wife ever thank you again god blessed you
This totally helped us out on a trip from Houston to Chicago.. Stopped in the O'Reilly in Sikeston MO (shout out to Cory working there) and followed this video and was back in business, not sticky 😂
Yeh. So I didnt see this vid until after I had gone and bought the AC Con fluid set. Tried to load it and meter went right to red zone. So not having seen this vid I took it in to the local auto shop. They found the relay and or fuse were bad right away. Only charged for the relay and some time. (Shop is honest, but maybe a little green with AC problems.)
Is there an amount of pressure that needs to go in the compressor?
Thanks for the info, mag. clutch relay was the remedy for us!
My compressor would turn on(you could hear it turn on with fan on low) without much movement of the tach. My relays are fine as is the fuse. Looks like I need to go further.
Is there a trick to removing the relay that doesn’t involve removing the skin from my index finger? Also which pullu is the ac clutch?
Big thanks. I've shared this. If it's okay.
Dude...That was it. Thanks so much. Now my wife will be cool in the van again too.
Thank you!! This solved my problem.
If I had not known about this video I would have messed up the ac compressor. Big thanks!!!!!! AC cool again.
This fixed my ac, just needed the relay. Thanks for the video!
Thanks, this saved me a ton of time and money.
This shit worked like a charm. Was gonna get a AC recharge canister for $50 but came across this video and another similar one. Was such quick and easy fix. Thanks a bunch.
Thank you so much for the great video. It definitely will save a lot of people with their Honda Odyssey’s A/C issues. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, sir! The tach going up vs down is a great thing to know. $8.50 got me a new relay and I'm feeling the cool air. Same situation as you - uncomfortable wife and now she's happy and I'm the hero. Right on!
Thank you!! Fixed ours with a new relay!! You saved our road trip!!!
Thanks for u U are the best when you explain
I just had my compressor replaced and freon recharged. Problem is now the 7.5 fuse mg clutch kept burning out each time I turn on the AC It would blow cool air just for that few seconds and stop cool air once the fuse is blown. What could it be?
Probably that relay
This worked for me. It started intermittently, then completely stopped blowing cold air. I replaced the relay on my wife's 2007 Honda Odyssey Touring and now it's blowing cold air! Thanks for the video! Happed to go to the junk yard for a different car and got the relay for very little.
This solved my problem! Aside from saving me time and money (and possibly getting ripped off by a dishonest mechanic), you did the environment a huge favor.
Thank you sir….my ac works now 👍
Yeah- Thanks- been roasting my a** off for two months now- I have a 2007. It's been 90 here and now I can giterdone.
Get yourself some cold air again!!! Good luck!
I picked up the part at Advance Auto and it works great. Thanks for doing this video.
I watch couple video....but you are the only one talk about the magnetic clutch....You save me...WIFE HAPPY.....MERCI & BRAVO.
Yeeeeaaahhh man that’s exactly why I do this!! Bravo to you for fixing and keeping the wife happy with cold air when you need it most! Thx for the feedback!
Boom fixed it, thanks man
So glad you got cold A/C flowing again!
I recharged mine but still blows warm in idle
Sorry to hear. After the recharge did you have ANY cold air come out while the A/C was turned on? Did you try driving to see if air was cold while the car was moving? These will be helpful to know, keep us posted!
Also, continue to check that the A/C compressor clutch is cycling on and off. You can view my other A/C video for checking this also. Should cycle and not stay continuously on. Good luck!🍀
Omg I just spent a month with no AC and this took me 2 min to fix!!!! Thank you dude!!!!
That’s what I’m talking about!!!! So glad this helped you.
Dude...THANK YOU!!! You saved my life. This worked like a dream. I uber and was wondering how that would work out with no air in my van. NOW...don't have to worry about it thanks to you.
I’m so glad that this helped you out, especially since you’re using your van to make money! Great work and remember you did it yourself and saved that money. Thanks for watching!
Does the engine have to be running during this process?
Hi there - no, it doesn’t to do watch for the compressor to turn, or not. But it IS necessary to check for the revs going up temporarily when the signal is sent to the compressor. There is more demand on the engine because of the compressor. Good luck and hope you made great progress and have cold air again.
@@fightdrivewinteam5447 wow, that’s some bad info. Yes, the engine absolutely needs to be running. Your system will NOT be at its appropriate pressures if the engine is not running
Nice! Thanks. Was pulling my hair.
And now? Nothing but cold breezes, I hope!!!
thanks alot but I can't tell the clutch difference of engaged or not engaged.
Its when you see the compresssor spinning (2:43) vs not spinning (2:35). Listen for the click as well.
