I have my Peru Balsamic a few Hours now and love it more and more,,,,i love Vanilla Fragrances,,,just a few Drops from that Extract makes my selfmade perfect Vanille Parfume perfect,,,,remembers me little bit to absolute aphrodisiac,,,,with my Vanille Parfumes and Vanilline(99,9%pure) and Absolut Aphrodisiac i have a Dupe from, lol.Castorium ( synthetic) i need,,,,lol,,,,and pure Vanilla Oil,,,,Vanille west indies is nice but somthing inside makes it feminin,,,Peru basamic makes it more maskulin i think.I read about Parfumes with Peru.b. .A lot famous and expensiv like few from Roja( few tausend Dollors),, i think P.b.is a very important ingridient of that,,,,
I have here 30g Perubalsam( El Savador wild collection).Very strong Fragrance..i add a lot of pure Vanilline.mutch better but layered with Vanille West indies( St Barth)...Very nice.I try that in a small Bottle soon.I have a cheep pure BIO-ethanoll too.Nice Summer evening and Nightfragrance
Hey any news about dave?😢
There are vetivers from India, china, Haiti, Indonesia and many other places. But I heard bourbon vetiver is the ultimate. Indian vetiver is of 3 types. North Indian and South Indian. North Indian comes in two types, green (ruh khus), and brown. The difference is that ruh khus is steam distilled in copper stills and brown one in stainless steel stills. Most western perfumes don’t contain any 100% natural vetiver as it is very hard to work with as most people don’t like the top notes and it’s to blend. Most common vetiver used in commercial perfumery is vetiveryl acetate and the expensive ones have a molecular distilled version where they remove the undesirable notes. What I like the most is ruh khus aged in camel skin containers. This allows the top notes to escape with time. The older it gets the better it gets and the more expensive it gets. Hope this was useful. Ciao
great examples of floral aromas!
I cannot get enough of the smell of Linden blossoms
Does he still do videos?
Are you still doing videos?
You are a godsend !
For me, cashmeran is solid/semi-solid and very hard to measure and use. What should I do?
Gently warm it and add 50% by weight of Perfumer alcohol. Then you have a 50% Cashmeran.
@@DenverDave thank you
Can we use pure saffron to create a perfume ?
Yes by making a tincture, but understand that it has restriction for skin application. Dave
@@DenverDave so you are saying that if I use the adequate quantity of saffron, I can put the pistile directly into the preparation?
If it were me, I would do 5 g of saffron to 95 g of perfumers alcohol. Yes, the strands will be in the alcohol and it needs to mature for a few months. Dave
@@DenverDave thank you for your help. It is very nice of you
Hello sir what is the substitute fragrance of iris and artimesia
I’m not sure what you mean? There is beta and Alpha Ionone that is iris aroma. Dave
What dilution is this ambroxan? I’m curious what dilution you use in perfumes
I dilute Ambroxan 5% to DPG 95%. Dave
Nagrywaj Dalej:)
I am from South Africa, Johannesburg can I order from Creating Perfume
Yes, I believe they ship there. Dave
can you dilute cashmeran in perfumers alcohol?
Yes, that is what I use as well. Dave
im trying to make a cocktail with a leather aroma. if i put this on a cocktail, do you think they will get sick?
Please do not do this unless you are a professional and know your food chemistry. Yes many aroma molecules are used in the food industry, but it takes years of learning to know the safety precautions for each and every molecule regarding food. Dave
100% agree: Everything changes once these molecules are on skin! Have you considered trying a small usb heater? I find this helps to activate molecules on scented strips when you are unable to test on skin or out of space.
Wonderful to hear your story with Z11 MIP. I fell in love with this ingredient at first sniff. Originally I thought it would serve as a fixative ingredient due to it's molecular weight and descriptors... boy was I wrong HAHA. Placing it with a series of beautiful rich ambers with trace elements of Bergamal and saffron threw me into another universe. I felt like it became a wood dipped in molten silver. When you said "metal hot and sand warm" I could only nod my head in agreement. So much potential.
Thanks for sharing!
I have a large bottle of Amber fossilised and I am so sad it is banned by IFRA :( I haven’t been able to mimic it with an accord either. Truly special material
If you are in the United States I would love to trade materials you would want with you for some of your Fossilized Amber. My e-mail is denverrocks@me.com if you want to email me. Thanks, Dave
Oh wait, did you stop making videos? This was the last video made over a year ago now.
Great sir 👏 👍 👌 🙏
question: if i have the absolute as a thick paste, how much do i need of that with how much alcohol in a 10ml bottle? in other words, what is the absolute:alcohol ratio?
I made mine at 5%. A 10ml bottle will probably hold a total of 7g. So .35g of Cocoa AB and 6.65g of Perfumers Alcohol will create a 5% solution. Dave
Thank you for sharing! I’m a parfumer beginner this information open new understanding of making formulas for me. I’m trying to make parfumé from aroma chemicals but stuck with making a thin pleasant smell, all smells very heavy like something with essential oils. Now I know that hedione may helps me with this ❤
Hi thanks for the very informative video - a small kind request can you pls da video on hexyl acetate
Where do you purchase your base fragrances?
You can get materials from creatingperfumes.com
@DenverDave I have a large supply of essential oils, and I really want to start blending my own fragrances beyond that. I love making household cleaners as well, it inspires me to clean.
@DenverDave can you recommend a supplier in Ontario, Canada? I took a look at the link you sent, and the prices and quality look amazing. However, shipping fees make it cost prohibitive.
What about Burning oil for the home ?
Hi...can I know if fragrance use real rum in their perfumes or a synthetic chemical that smells like rum?.... Thanks
There is not a real way to know unless they disclose that information. Dave
I tried adding Fixateur 505E and in a citrus woody blend (i also added frankincense EO in the composition) when I was experimenting .. i have to agree with you. Fixateur 505e and frankincense have a brightening effect. Here's what ive experimented with that citrus woody blend: 1. iso e super 33.33% of the concentrate - this one's nice enhanced the woody facets without overpowering it 2. Ambroxan 5% of the concentrate - i know i know, this is too much. It gave it a very sharp slightly metallic facets. 3. Iso e super 15%, ambroxan 5%, Hedione 20% - the hedione helped smoothening out the sharp edges the ambroxan added but using hedione at this level, might have flattened out the other notes😢. 4. Fixateur 505E 5% of the concentrate- i know, this is also too much😅 it made the citruses feel like, as if I dipped it in ocean water.
bro you need to watch some basic videos like "how to do an accord" in perfumery, because - as you said - your dosages are too high. Have fun experimenting and learning, as I am also still at the beginning :D
7:40, I am wearing today as watching, a similar blend, 1/3 frankincese, 2/3 benzoin, and some seasoning drops of elemi, labdanum and myrrh. So me, soooo good, sooo heavy, delicious... so simple formula, very good perfume...Some have idea of mixing various citouses, others, various flowers, mine here was to mix all tears that bleed from trees... ended up with a very good perfume
Hi dave, we need avideo about geranium.
I think that is clear wood is smokey wood but the dark one is a dirty earthy. Cause they distill it in an iron alambics.
Question. After we mix our fragrance compound and allow it to mascerate Should we allow it to mascerate again once we mix it with our carrier solutions such as perfumer's alcohol ?
Yes, for about a month. If it is a base heavy, very woody or a lot of base naturals I will macerate longer (both times). Dave
Thanks again for the insight!!! Really appreciate it
What are some good chemicals that I can use to help bind my fragrance compound with my perfumer's alcohol or other carrier solutions?
What about benzoin?
The problem with IPM It damage my dropper' rubber.
Hi sir Pl write the text all the aroma chemicals And Essential oil Your voice my side not clear
I hope you are okay I have not seen you post for awhile, seeing this was your last video now I know why.. if you could please let us know if you are alright <3 GodBless<3
I was similarly worried :/ what did you see in this video? I didn't pick up anything
time from his last post, and he has not replead to comments like others as well comments are not replied on other videos around the same time, I know why I have not seen any post lately because he has not posted sense this video.. hoping he's okay but this don't seem like his Character, to simply abandon his channel without a word @@b.nugent733
Can you suggest a litchi accord? Thanks
❤❤❤😘 💕
Can I add real Oud to it?
Yes, for sure! Dave
Need a new video from you
Sounds like a really cool method of sending "samples" of perfumes I'm making from Canada to my friends down in the USA - I'm gonna try this out, thanks so much for the insight!
Assalmo Alekum(peace be upon you) Sir i learnt alot from you keep it up and may ALLAH give you more succeas ahead aameen. Sir kindly teach us the Malt perfume how it is made thank you. Anees Karachi Pakistan
Hello, thank you for your videos! I Learn a lot from it. I have made this formula. The orris is taking over in the maturing. Everything I put orris in smells like a noodle soup package before you cook it😂 so I'm curious how you use it. I'm thinking of making a 0,1% dilution. The boronal also has that noodlesoup vibe to me.. it's complex but it takes over in the maturing sooo much
I really want to get my timeshare caught up so I can set up a get away and get together with some fragrance makers. I would love to rub elbows with like minded makers.
I like your video, I actually have Balsam of Peru allergy, fragrance allergy, i almost bought this because i was trying to make something natural, but when i went to the allergists turns out I'm allergic, this allergy sucks, just doing my homework
Hi there! Related to another video of yours but do you know where to get Peru Balsam Oliffac?
Olá Dave. Muito bons seus ensinamentos e analogias elegantes para descrever as notas. Parabéns! Adorei seu canal.
I loved your video - thank you!
