I just tried all these methods as I have 1TB SSD (2.5" external). None of the methods work, but I do not believe it has anything to do with windows. Bear in mind that if you are using a cheap nasty SSD then you will have issues including poor performance when the capacity reaches about 10% full. NVMe SSD's suck anyway, they have a slower transfer rate compared to other types. I waited 7 hours to transfer a 8gb file from an external HDD to a 1TB SSD external drive. The more full the drive gets, the slower it becomes. Also keep in mind that some cheap SSD particularly from China may be fakes, they may show as say, 1TB but may actually be 128gb and as the drive gets to about 90gb it begins to run out of memory thus slowing the transfer rate right down also your whole system.
