Catarata de Yumbilla - 5th Highest Waterfall In The World - Cuispes, Peru
Fellow adventure seekers...welcome to this video and thank you for viewing! I've spent a considerable amount of time in Peru and was recently exploring the north and specifically, areas around Chacapoyas. The area is most well known for the sarcaphogi and for the Gocta waterfall, but Yumbilla is just as - if not more - impressive and higher.
The walk there from the small town (pueblito) of Cuispes is simply magical and the falls are equally as remarkable. There are so many natural wonders to witness in Peru, but this area should be on the top of your list!
To get there is simple. Take a collectivo (S/10) from Chacapoyas (terminal terrestre or ETSA) to Cuispes (about 1 1/2 hours). From Cuispes you can access the main trail to the Yumbilla waterfall (Catarata de Yumbilla) and it takes approximately 2 hours to walk there. The tourism office is super helpful and provide more tips.

kind of a wrong fact, because Puerto Williams is the southernmost city in the world since the year 2019, legally and constitutionally by the Chilean State, is the capitol of the Antarctic region. And in Puerto Williams there is a Post Office 🤔, so that is the southernmost post office. Sadly argentines keep selling and laying about that slogan 🤷🏻♂️

Sorry so long to reply. This place was definitely 'off the map'. The town was called Sol Naciento, south of Pulcallpa. Around this area you can find plenty of natives that offer ceremonies. I know Iquitos (more North) is more popular, but with something like Ayahuasca, 'she' will guide you to the right place...just trust. :)

Great video and congratulations on your first travel programme. I live in London UK and had planned to fly to Lima and then a short flight to Pucallpa and get picked up by Shipibo - Conibo people I made contact with. Then it's a 1 hour boat ride up-river to their village. I could not do it the way you did as I do not speak Spanish. Anyway Covid happened and Peru like everywhere was shut down. Hopefully I will do it in 2023. The idea is to stay for 3 weeks and do dieta and some Ayahuasca ceremonies. I have never taken it before and I am frightened but the fear is part of the adventure. Keep up the good work.

Hi Mohamed. No, I did not create the product. The father of my good friend did. I'm not sure if they even still sell these basketball spinners. This was a very long time ago.
