  • Welcome to this video friends! Was spending some time in the Chacapoyas region of northern Peru and the many sarcophagi sites are a must-see. This is from a brief day trip to Karajia. You take a collective from Chacapoyas (S/5) to Luya, then another from Luya to Cruzpata (S/10), to access a path (walk about 45 mins) that leads you to the sarcophagi. The entrance fee is S/10.
The ride from Luya to Cruzpata is worth the trip alone, as you drive through beautiful Andean landscape with farms and tiny villages. Really amazing. Once you arrive at the site of the sarcophagi it feels like you are transported back in time and it's quite a surreal feeling.
Total cost for the entire trip was S/40, approx. $11 USD.
This video is really just a collection of the videos shot on my phone to give you an authentic-as-possible experience.
    Hope you enjoy!
