Heater fan not working
zhlédnutí 16Před měsícem
How I diagnosed why my heater fan wasn’t working. First check fuse. Check power to fuse. Check fan resistor to see that power gets to it and that the switch works with the resistor. Then check the fan wiring to see that power gets that far. Then if all that’s good remove the fan. On this vehicle removing the fan is involved whereas other vehicles it might be more accessible. I had a D17, I loved that tractor. It had a homemade/aftermarket 3 point hitch on it. Not sure what it was, but I cleared a lot of land with a Bush Hog. The Power Director hand clutch was perfect for dropping it back into low speed or even neutral when hitting heavy brush and popping back into high for lighter grass. The 3 point setup lost the traction booster, so I didn't plow with it.

My 88 Runs OBD1…assume the 91 does too. Short the pins on the OBD1 connector and read the “Service Engine Soon” flashes (you can Google how to read the codes). That will give you an idea of where to look. I had all sorts of readings - ended up replacing plugs wires, distributor cap and rotor, coil, EGR valve, relays, etc. Finally, I got an OBD1 flashing sequence that pointed to the computer. The computer in mine (88..2.5L) is an aluminum box located under the dash, behind the glove compartment. It’s kind of a pain to get out, but you can…one screw hold it’s blacked underneath the dash. I found a replacement computer in a junkyard (you have to have the same serial number box). There is a strip cover held on with two screws. Remove that and you can get to the EPROM inside. Transfer the EPROM from your truck to the replacement computer. Then connect and reinstall the computer. Once I did that, my truck Rand trouble free…and still does. Good luck!!

rough idle might be the MAP senson -its the black item attahed to the front of air cleaner housing Also the Idle air control valve it is under the air cleaner it attaches with 2 screws i saw a video where you can clean the Idle Air Control Valve i guess you can clean it with brake cleaner (dont fill up the part cause it is electrical the point of the valve should be clean and clean the inside of housing being very careful be real careful when installing the IAC the screws are small place something under the area to catch the screws incase you drop them a white rag or whatever check other videos gather info hope you can sort out the problem but it does sound like the MAP sensor uh i just noticed this video was 13 years ago well im late

sometimes you can remove the tensioner and lubricate it around the mounting bolt and free up the rust -pb blaster or similar rust removal type spray and always lubricate new parts if they are high wear area -I always grease mounting bolts and the threads -clean the engine threads to and blow them out with air somehow

I had that same problem with the original blinker assembly. I couldnt get that clip on the outside to hold into the new grill. so i found that In between the 2 lights there is a tab, i drilled into and then into the back of the grill and used a couple zip ties to keep it tight. Kind of a cob job but it works and i didnt have to buy to buy a couple blinker assemblies. Before doing the zip tie thing i tried screwing with that springy tab by filing and using a screw but it would still pull out pretty easy. So out came the zip ties....lol

Thanks for viewing and commenting. Most of these are still working. I took down 3 of the earlier ones I had put up just last week as they quit working and the solar panels all clouded over white. One of the panels fell off as well.

I got this one on sale at Lowe’s for about 35$. They were having big discounts on the Craftsman V20 brushless models just before the Craftsman V20 RP models came out.

This gun isnt ideal for lug nuts, you would want to use the 1/2 impact for bolts or nuts of that size, this gun is good for smaller nuts and bolts, i would say 17-18mm and below, it will take fresh lug nuts off but not ones that have been sitting for a while,

Thanks for viewing and commenting. I have a large Bosch 1/2” impact wrench 18v that I normally use for lug nuts. I was just testing this and the ones in my other videos to see if they could do it in a pinch.

I am so glad to come across this video saved us money. Have 2010 GMC Canyon that was throwing fault codes and the dash cluster would go blank when driving. Took to a dealership and they said we needed a new EBCM that they don’t make anymore. Options were to live with it or get EBCM reworked. While doing research found this video. After taking the ground off and putting back on it all cleared.

Thanks for viewing and commenting. I’m so glad to hear my video helped you. I use CZcams videos a lot myself to help me fix things as well.

Will you please share exactly which ground wire you took off and put back on? I'm curious to know.

He's doing a fantastic job! 👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾Many people don't realize cats do thier own kind of guarding. If you pay attention to thier countenance, they will alert you to activity or someone approaching. I feel guarded if I walk with my cats at night or in woods.🐈‍⬛
