I went through the Mel Bay guitar method series books with a teacher who was a serious teacher and it helped me. I’m not in your league but it’s cool to know the foundational aspects of the fretboard.

Hey Guthrie. I couldn't agree more about the compression. Just don't like it. More and more i'm gigging with an RC boost, delay and deluxe. I'm sure it will change but right now, I love not worrying about that stuff while playing!

Loved In Stereo man! Great work! I used to be a NYC r&b session guy and songwriter in the early 2000’s but since then have kinda fallen off in my playing. I still record but just don’t feel inspired by my ideas like I used to. Is there anything you’d recommend to get me back to being more connected to my guitar and the joy of making music?

Ya don't apologize for talking too much. I've finally come across a lesson that I feel is now steering me to that ah ha !! moment... Triads and chord tones in them. I get it.. but I also only know them about 10 or 15% of the neck in sporadic places. That's gonna change!! Thank you so much !!

Had one guitar for the longest time, until I broke a string onstage with a guitar with a Floyd Rose Tremelo and locking nut. After that gig I bought another guitar for backup. Then another for dropped and open tuning. One guitar soon turned to fifteen. I don't gig anymore but I still am surrounded by guitars!! By the way your videos rock!!
